I live in central Ohio and our GWs in our area have raised their glasses, saucers and any small items o 1.99, whuch I think is highway robbery for donated items...I have loved thrify shopping but stores in my area are getting crazy stupid pricing.... need to begin checking yard sales in my area

When my local sister & I travel to Arizona for our Sister's birthday, we stretch out the journey to do thrifting along the way. Since she doesn't have much spending money, & I'm now retired and don't need much more to add to my 'stuff', we're selective in what we look for. We did find things to bring home! One Goodwill in Palm Springs sold their books for $5.99...uff da, I couldn't help wondering how many books they sell at those prices!---I also do that trick of tucking in loose threads, but for me, it's sweaters! It's cool most of the year in my location, so sweaters get a lot of use.---You & lamps, me & chairs! I now get to go to garage sales & estate sales with a retired nurse friend(!), and saw a chair & unrelated ottoman that I want S-O-O much, but have no space for either. I didn't even ask how much, but oh, it's so tempting to return today to see if they are still there. What would I do if yes!

If you can find those wire waste paper baskets for around $1 or $2 they make good plant protectors if you turn them upside down on the garden when you have transplanted a small plant or seedling from the pot into the ground.

Great ideas as always. The hunt is always interesting because there are as many reasons for the hunt as there are hunters. There are times when discernment and pickiness prevail and other times when we settle when it may not be quite right. It's always interesting regardless. Yesterday I found a lovely embroidered picture of a young blond girl on a swing and it just called to me for some reason so I got it for $5. Lots of periwinkle blue in the background snagged me i think. Then I picked up a small shadow box that was just cute.

Great finds! The blanket and the two tiered tray are beautiful! I feel that sometimes the thrill of the hunt, also means that you might not purchase an item because you know you can find it cheaper at another thrift store or wait a week or two and you will find what you want, at your price point. If that makes sense?!? Tfs❤

I love finding nice linens and curtains, I will repurpose the material into pillow covers, table runners etc. I have even taken knitted or crocheted throws to make pillow covers.

Love the burnt orange blanket! Be nice to snuggle up in! Also loved the blue bedspread! I had a matching set of crystal lamps, like you have in your master bedroom, but I used them in my living room on my end tables on both sides of my sofa. Loved you finds! Gorgeous pattern on your oil lamp and two tiered plates.

hi! Like hanging a flowered robe, I hang a pretty apron in my kitchen to bring colors together. I have a 2 tier tray in the atomic orange that is a royal haegar, and matching candlestick holders, I haven't started reselling quite yet, but have many things that were my mom's to figure out. (We don't have Goodwill in my part of Detroit buburbs, Salvation Army and some independant ones mostly) Thanks for ideas and I enjoyed the video .

I use a basket with the sections to place magazines in.

i love where you put them they both match but i also notice the plates you have under the pot where you put the oil lamp match them

U can use sat and peppers shakers for other things u can put in them

Yes I’m going to go to another city not far from me of Goodwills tomorrow. I went to a local thrift store today and found some clear drinking glasses that I was needing to add for a set of 6 I have now for $2-3 .

I have a lamp obsession also...only my thing is tiny lamps for a 7w bulb....I leave them on all the time, I only have 5, but I also have a small house, so it is literally lite all night 😅

My local stores have them all scramble up on table bins . So unshopable . That was a match with that porcelain tear tray with that oil lamp . You give good ideals and examples of what to use things for . I don't blame you about some of the prices I feel the same . When I know you can fine things on yard sales cheaper.
