The sweetest thing happened to me last Fall season. I was finished with chemo & still bald & I hadn't been to Starbucks in a year! So I went in feeling self conscious & this nice woman bought my pumkinspice coffee! I almost cried! It so touched my heart! She had 2 young children with her, yet she thought of me.❤ We hv a large screened porch & if the weather is nice, we hv Thanksgiving out there on our large glass patio table. But with a tablecloth it looks homey. Sitting out there hearing the birds is so special!❤Love your blue ideas! I'm stealing that idea! Lol

Hollie, you are so right thinking about the little ones! When I was hosting I used a three season room with a heater for the kids. We had french doors off the kitchen so they felt a part of the celebration. The kids were so excited they all got to sit together, play and eat. Board games are a plus!

Thank you so much! The dress I have had for years and I got it from a booth at Christmas Village! I don’t make all the food for thanksgiving! We all bring different sides and desserts and my parents do the turkey!! We all help!! 🥰🥰

My mom and I would move whole rooms around when I was young and still at home. My dad use to say it was a good thing we had no idea how to plumb or do electrical work. Our poor dog would get so confused.
My ex use to get so mad at me for moving furniture around. One time he came in the middle of the night not knowing I had rearranged . He was in the dark and tripped. I could hear him cussing me out! Now you know why we didn’t last. My current husband tells the ppl he works with that he never knows what color the walls will be when he gets home from work.I love to paint and improve my home!!!! I’m not sad about any of this. It makes me happy.
Great tips Hollie.. acts of kindness is such a Blessing. We have cousins that live in Indiana and they don't come down until Christmas day so I suggested years ago to do our extended family Christmas after Christmas and works so well! We do a dirty Santa gift so you can get good gifts marked down after Christmas lol

Hello what advice you have when you have to deal out negative people. Never happy no matter what you do. Hates everything no matter what you give them. It’s very hard I love the hoildays and they just ruin it.i try to make it special but nothing works.
