I totally agree with your review of this performance, and in particular with that lovely "Halelujah" moment there! Adam Rupp is so underestimated and underrated in these performances - I wish people would realize that the reason they don't mention him much is because he does it perfectly. He doesn't overdo it, he doesn't lack in it, he's just there, with them, all the way. But gosh, would they miss it, if he wasn't...
He's so dang good at what he does, that people forget that an actual human person is making the percussion with their mouth for crying out loud, and they just blow by even acknowledging him.
Rob really steps out in this one. His soulful runs, the grit in his voice then bouncing up and catching those high notes, ringing them like a bell. Beautiful Go team Beard.

This was the 2nd Home Free video I saw after watching Man of Constant Sorrow. I went and looked for Home Free reactions and kept seeing reactors reacting to End of the Road. It was being sent to so many African American Reactors because you just don't mess with a Boys to Men iconic mega hit. Well......after they reacted to End of the Road these reactors were hooked just as much as I was. Have fun reacting. Rob killed this!!!
Don't you find it amazing how many different kinds of music they can cover and make each one their own? Who would have thought 5 white acapella country singers could sing soul with such feeling? They never stop amazing me. Love your reactions. I'm always laughing while enjoying my favorite group.

These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre including R&B. Rob sang this with so much soul along with Austin. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. Tim's bass is great as usual along with Adam's awesome vocal percussion. Keep up your journey through Home Free. You will not find a bad song.
Oh, I vote for that one for sure. No video (so don't look for one), honestly and truly doesn't need it ...... which allows for focusing with the ears!!!! :)

I'm old and grey enough to have been alive when this song first came out. In fact, my senior class (high school, grad. 1992 - told you I was old) chose this as our class song. Pretty sure those folks who voted for it hadn't really listened to the words or figured out what the song was about. But hey, it's Boyz II Men, and the song was a classic even THEN. I played my Motownphilly tape so much (CDs weren't yet A Thing, still about a year out before people purchased them without it being a novelty item) that I wore it out and had to buy a replacement. LOVE your reaction to this, and that you catch the nuances Home Free has woven through the song.
Home Free is always amazing. They've made me cry more times than any other group I listen to because they're so good at brining out the emotions behind a song. VoicePlay is another really great a cappella group to listen to. They're known as the #TheaterKidsOfAcappella and produce more of a stage production on a lot of songs. I'd recommend Hoist The Colours from Pirates Of the Caribbean, any of their Disney medleys (they're from Orlando), or Queen in 5 Minutes. For a rock feel try Carry On My Wayward Son. Their bass, Geoff Castellucci, has a 5 octave range with a low of B0 that he hit in the Halo theme. The others have at least a 4 octave range. It's a rabbit hole you won't regret going down! VoicePlay does all their own arranging and video production too.
They can all sing, even Adam, the beatboxer. They have a very large collection of videos spanning all genres of music. Off topic, but you look like you ate a very good left hook. I'm a Home Fry and I look forward to seeing you react to more of their music
Austin:: In 2012, he worked on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship as a featured singer in their production shows, and it is where he met Home Free. The acapella band joined the cruise as a guest performing group.

As for the song, you have to be a: brave, b: foolish, or c: extremely skilled and confident to even consider covering this song. This song was so iconic and so deeply personal to so many, I can't think of another that would be judged as harshly by so many. I was so impressed by this cover. I don't have the knowledge or training to understand the incredible feats they must have accomplished technically, but my ears don't lie! This song properly paid it's respects to Boyz II Men, but also was beautiful in it's own right. I had a great time watching you enjoy this. Keep it up!
As stated although did some country music songs, they didn't identify as country. When Austin & Tim came in, their background eluded to country, then Chance came (say Chance as they're 2 Adams) the Southern/SW contingency became dominant. Not every song is country, but it's a blend. Country had country gospel male groups, Statler Brothers & Oak Ridge Boys they got adopted & found a home. Keep in mind this dates back to the groups heard on then radio then live shows at the Grand Ole Opry. It made them easily accepted. Their influence comes from various styles which fuses the group. When hear Elvira, Folsom Blues, Ring of Fire & Blue Ain't Your Color, or Thinkin' Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Children Go Where I Send Thee, can hear the gospel, jazz, R&B syncopation & harmonies. Twist? Lead voices are singing the melody maybe in country twang but it's fused.

Wasn’t it good?!! When Home Free won the Sing Off in 2013 Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. Rob killed it. The boys can sing! Good reaction Christopher!

austin does have background in musical theater! somewhere in youtube you can find a video of him playing seymour in LSOH, as well as others. he also worked on cruise ships and in disneyland at some point
YOu need to check out My Country 'Tis of Thee and Land of the Free! Land of the Free is an original, written by Tim and his friend (and guitarist in many of his and Austin's videos) Chris Chatham. And I don't recall if you've checked out Tim & Austin in "My Maria". Love watching your reactions, and learning some of the technical terms.
I love everyone's reaction when Rob starts rubbing some funk on it near the end. Sad that Tim had such a small spotlight, but they were trying to stay true to the original, and that's to be respected as well.
