Home Free Ring of Fire ft Avi Kaplan CRAZY REACTION 

My take on the whole hat thing is that, Avi is giving the "Hats Off" to Tim for hitting that low massive note. I love Avi, but I've learned that Tim can go even lower than most bass men. Tim also has a 5 octave vocal range and isn't afraid to use it. I love both of these talented men. They virtually have that bass sound down pat, but yet sound so different. Avi is classically trained and you can clearly hear that Operatic sound come through, and Tim has that southern smooth as silk sound, but with a country twist to it. BTW- Some fans think there is some kind of big competition between the two groups, but the truth of the matter is: #1- They are two completely different groups, singing in 2 completely different genres. And #@2 PTX & Home Free are very good friends, and have been for years, just as they are with many other A Capella groups out there today.. Anyway.....Thanks for another great reaction. You are so fun to watch. You get so excited and it makes me smile every single time.

Here's a fun note. Tim Foust actually gave Avi pointers on how to hit lower notes. Kinda disappointed that no mention of Tim's massive low note at the end was mentioned. :(

The part where Tim and Avi are harmonizing is really cool, two bases together just makes a different kind of sound.

Avi hits an E2 and she melts and I'm like, "Oh I can't wait until she hears the last note (G1) from Tim"

Oh you were killing me because you kept pausing the video right before Avi hit the deep bass of "but the fire went wild" and I knew exactly how you were going to react. And you didn't disappoint (like always.) Now really the next thing you need to react to is Pentatonix "Aha". Watch the regular official video first and then watch the live performance "Aha" Singapore, The Star Vista. That live performance is what sold me on becoming a Pentaholic.

Ohh my Goodness!!!! This video was definitely the better reaction between all that I saw on RU-vid. I agree Avi's voice is so deep that can touch my soul and the term "cowboyism" looks like a good neologism for cowboys' tradition.

I would absolutely love love love to see you react to Home Free’s Guilty Pleasures hilariously derailed video. My face and sides hurt from laughing. Tim is actually a lower base than Avi. They both have beautiful warm bass voices. Great reaction. You should do more Home Free Reactions. Please react to their cover of John Mayer - In The Blood!

That last note by Tim Foust was one of the lowest that can be done in the “growl” register. Tim has a five octave range, and he and Avi are among the few in the world referred to as “basso profundo”...that can sing in the lowest registers. Tim sings like that on Peter Hollen’s “Misty Mountains”. This was recorded before founding member Chris Rupp left the group. He was replaced by Adam Chance, aka “Chance”. Chance is also an accomplished bass, so Tim can now flex his vocal range more often, because Chance will do the bass. I see you’re impressed with Adam Rupp, the beatboxer for Home Free (he founded the group with his brother, Chris)-Adam is widely regarded as one of the best beatboxers ever. The best video to hear him at his best is “Mayday”. That video is a fave of mine because Tim sings HIGH (he does have a five octave range), Chance sings low, and Austin and Rob kill it on tenor. It’s a great recording!

I’ve watched this vid dozens of times and while I noticed the trucks, I TOTALLY missed Avi taking his beanie off and putting on a cowboy hat. Haha. Good catch!

When I found Avi and Home free I was soo happy I finally found someone who I could sing with. The first time people here them they are kind of dumbfounded at the level of lowness they can achieve. Btw love you and your channel. Keep up the awesomeness.

Yep, in the southern US it's called a field party. You park your cars and trucks facing the center of a field, clear a safe spot, light a bonfire, turn up the music, pull out the blankets, coolers and snacks and have a party! Awesome times!

You would also absolutely be blown away by Pentatonix version of “Silent Night” Live in a Church official video.....hauntingly and beautifully done (Avi is in it too) it lifts my spirits yet calms my racing mind at the same time!! Keep on do’ing 😘

Great reaction as always! Check out "Black is the color of my True loves hair" with Avi and Peter Hollens and it's a cappella (they both layer many parts on the song but it's just the 2 of them). As a Kentucky gal, meeting in the middle of the forest, truck tailgates down in a ring around a huge bonfire is totally a thing. Also, as much as I adore this version, you should totally watch their original performance on The Sing Off. Tim goes EVEN LOWER. It’s AMAZING.

Tim's last note is the coolest thing live. It vibrates your chest (your whole body really) and it's amazing.

I'm not an expert, but yes that stance is a cowboy thing. Most of the time you will see someone do that stance if they are wearing a big ass belt buckle with an intricate design. I mean you got to show it off if you've got it.

I know you love Avi but Tim hits a much deeper note at the end and no reaction? Tim has a 5 octave range and can hit notes as low as G0 (much lower than Avi). Give the man some props. And please react to more Home Free: Mayday, I Can't Outrun You, Hillbilly Bone, In The Blood, Country Fried Pop Medley, etc.... There are so many.
