I did this show back in 1995....what beautiful memories!!

I'm singing this song at my next voice recital! I love it!

I went to the strand to see some shows there when I was younger. I remember when this was there but I was not able to go. I did get to see a great production of Evita there! Makes me nostalgic.

such a lovely song! I'm glad I discovered this musical... ALW's will always be my absolute favorite version of phantom, but it's always great listening to other version. This version is just full of magic. :)

@BigFatFairy1970 You are so right! Finally someone has said it! This is a much better story, and total explanation of why the Phantom is why he became the way he is. I have always wanted to be in this show, playing his father. Too bad this show was not produced first. It would be the famous show it deserves to be!

i'm impressed. I really like this Phantom version, though i like ALW's, too :) the funniest think is that i discovered this musical, this version in japanese :D

Phantom is being done this June at the Benedum in Pittsburgh with Ron Bohmer as Erik.

I enjoy watching different actors' interpretations of the characters - especially the Phantom and Christine, and they hardly ever perform this beautiful musical anymore!!! Thank you!! :)

Oh yes I've heard about that one. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it that week, but hopefully there will be another one later in the summer given that the school year is coming to an end! Thanks though, I appreciate it! :)

This is footage of the R.T.G. Productions staging of "Phantom" at the Strand Theater in Lakewood, NJ in 1995. The cast was a combination of Equity (the three main leads) and Non-Equity (we the chorus) performers. I admit the voices do sound somewhat like the original cast recording, but it's not them.

Do you have any more clips from this production, I was in it :)

I'll be posting more clips eventually - my vid capturing equipment is out of commission at the moment (this was filmed on analog tape, needs to be converted for upload).

Yeah I remember during the production I wasn't sure if she was doing it out of habit or what - some singers see other people with bad physical habits and pick them up without even realizing it. She clearly has the technique to sing the song, so I dunno why her breathing technique would be faulty.

beautiful! the blocking was a little ehhh, though in the beginning. could have been much better. but, overall, i like this production very much!!
