@@mad-fh9dc I just let you know that I am really documentary about biography book club fun more information on maze's New look like she feels like almost top of the same place looks like a new one part time
This show was at a time when entertainment was great and families could sit down and watch. We have too many scripted reality shows on TV now and the quality is so low, dont know how people can watch it. All the characters were awesome in Home Improvement and I still watch it in syndication. I have seen everyone but you know, the show was so good, well worth watching over and over again. Thanks for the Memories.
Unfortunately Earl Hindman passed away December 2003 Lung Cancer. I wish there were neighbors like Wilson who you can just talk to about anything and get advice from. He was a very important part of the series Bold Statement: I don't think this show makes it 8 years (1991-1999) without him An in my opinion Debbie Dunning was way hotter than Pam Anderson and I think she was a better overall fit for that role.
You are right through and through. I once upon a time compared this show to two other 90's shows I liked most - Night Court and Roseanne. Giving a second thought this show was the best of the three.
When Zachary Ty Bryan and Patricia Ritchardson teared up I got goosebumps but also felt a little sad. To play a character that long and to be on the show since you were a kid, it's gotta be bittersweet to say goodbye. And for Patricia, this was essentially her big break but more than that. She became an onset to Zachary, Jonathan & Taran. Such a great show. Sad that the actor who played Wilson passed away. This will always be one of the best sitcoms in the 90's
Geeked-OutTurtlesFan38 I'm sorry earl hineman passed on sometime in 2007 or 2009 he was the best character of h I TV show from 1991-1999 sadly sad they're forced off the air because of bad ratings like the same thing about rosanne and Mike & molly TV shows nowadays are going off the air because of bloopers and badly bad ratings and reviews from time to time that's so sadly sad like losing a loved ones all over again like I recently really remembered I lost my dad from 2016 and this passed February my former 01st brother in law Larry 2018 wow how tragic can anyone get so I'm sorry you lost loved ones in the past or recently present I'm praying for you guaranteed and I'm a successful man at 38 and a Superman and superheroes fanatic fan peace and encouragement and hopefully love too buddy.
@@jamiemoffatt50 there are lots of reasons it ended. Cast grew up, had life changes outside the show. Storylines dried up. Ratings were changing. They did phenominal work for what they were paid to do. They don't exist to serve you in every way possible. Be thankful it existed.
I watched this show in the 90's when I was a kid but stopped when I was in high school. Gonna start to watch it again now because none of it I remember. People seem to really adore this show.
It would be great when Tim, Patricia, Zachery, Jonathan, Richard, Debbe, and Taran do the zoom online webcam FaceTime reunion for 30th Anniversary and sharing the moments of Home Improvement and dedicate the memories of Earl Hindman aka Wilson
I grew up with this show. 1991-1999. 8 fabulous years, and I still watch reruns of Home Improvement. Takes me back to my times, going to school, then when I got home, I would laugh so hard, with the comedy and humor.
love this show when i was a kid back in 1998 when i first started watch it one of the best shows ever i have watched ever ep so so so many time and still love it they even still play it on tv here in new zealand and i watch it every night still i remember when i saw this on tv i never cry but this really upset me
Second that! If you're interested, I worked for Wikipedia for awhile and was reserching where Earl Hindman was buried as Find-A-Grave had him at Roxbury Cemetery in Stamford CT with no picture of his monument. Upon my physically scouting Roxbury to get a picture, he was nowhere to be found and the cemetery folks there said he was not buried there. A year later, I beseeched another Roxbury manager and he said that Earl is indeed buried there but in an unmarked grave. Earl didn't want to be the reason to have the old historical cemetery inundated with curiousity-seekers.
I used to think about trying to find a friends grave but decided it would be too depressing. Rip. Wish they could have gotten jtt to come back it broke my heart.
I seriously miss this show so much. It’s amazing how one show can hit home so much. I’ve lived in South East Michigan all of my life, my father is an HVAC technician, I’ve helped him out on so many jobs and because of that I’ve been around tools most of my life. When my parents were still together and when we were a happy family...we’d sit and watch Home Improvement every night at dinner. I know every single episode by heart. In a weird way it’s almost as if Home Improvement was indirectly describing my life lol. Every time I watch it, it reminds me of my childhood. Every episode is a memory and it hits home. I don’t feel this way with any other show. There is no other show out there like Home Improvement. The Motor City is my home and always will be.
I agree. I was 8 when it first aired. I watched every Thursday until it went off the air in 99. Geez that was 23 years ago. Then I bought all dvd box sets in the 2000’s and now im binge watching it on Hulu. Hands down best sitcom ever. It was so successful they had to move it to a different day so it didn’t directly compete with Seinfeld.
@@Radiodaze1073 How about Cheers? 30 years since it went off the air. Hating 2022. I just want to be a place where everybody knows your name and where you can go and ask your next-door neighbor for advice over the fence, even if you don't know what he looks like.
This is by far one of the best shows that has ever aired. The cast, the episodes just everything about it made and still makes Home Improvement such a fun and nice show to watch. It was so heartbreaking to see the cast so sad and heartbroken. I felt so bad for how sad they we're. Also, I really wish Jonathan Taylor Thomas could've been there, Ik he was focusing on education and all of that but I still wish he could've been there for the final curtain call. I love Home Improvement so much!
Always liked that they kept JTT in the opening credits for the entire season even after he left. It would have been nice if he'd have come back for the finale. The Christmas episode at least felt like closure for Randy's character but he was definitely missed for the last episode.
The on-air chemistry is some of the best ever, the interplay between characters, the delivery of lines, the facial expressions, body language, the best!
@@WarofThoughts yes! Also Cliff and Clair Huxtable, Archie and Edith Bunker, Al and Peg Bundy, Roseanne and Dan Connor, Bob and Emily Hartley, Martin Payne and Gina Waters, Ray and Debra Barone and Doug and Carrie Heffernan .
It's not surprising really, considering just how long the show went on for. Some of them have been on the show for most of their life, and even the ones that weren't were still there for a while. At that point, everyone on the show might as well have been an actual family with how much time they spent together pretending to be a family.
Home Improvements is still one of my favourite shows. I'm glad comedy central in the UK has started showing it again. RIP to the legendary Earl Hindman ❤
It's a top ten sitcom of all time. What do you think of this elite list? 1. All in the Family 2. Sanford and Son 3. Everybody Loves Raymond 4. Seinfeld 5. Martin 6. Married with Children 7. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air 8. Frasier 9. Home Improvement 10. Friends
I miss this. A show the whole family can sit down to and watch. Filmed in front of a live audience which for some reason a lot of shows don't do anymore. It was just one of the best.
@@taroman7100100%. The writing just isn’t for the better of humanity. It reminds me of how in the last episodes of Home Improvement, that new big shot exec came in and tried to make “Tool Time” raunchy. Foreshadowing to reality and I think done on purpose by Tim Allen(to likely what the execs were wanting Home Improvement to drift into).
I always watch Home Improvement Holliday episodes around w/e Holliday it is. They always had the best Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Xmas episodes. Loved the decorations on the set. So exciting and like no other show on T.V til this day!!!!!
@@Gazeroni Idk it's hard to compete with the Christmas episodes of Married with Children, the ones with Sam Kinison are golden. Frasier had classic ones too.
They don`t make them like this anymore. I tried to make the time to watch this show. I liked how it was able to capture the essence of home life: Halloween, Christmas and family time.
@@1islander52 I like Last Man but it's nowhere near as great as Home Improvement. Also, as good as Tim and Nancy are together, their tv marriage was nowhere near as believable, real and oozing with chemistry as Tim and Pat.
Was Tim's sister-in-law shown cupping her breasts when he accidentally walked in on her taking a shower, or did Disney Plus show the syndicated ("clean") version where she's shown from the back? I was wondering because I watched the original "Adventures in Babysitting" movie on that streaming platform, and they censored the profanity. So, given how somewhat piggish "Home Improvement" comes off as, I am concerned before binge-watching, and therefore prefer the series in its original form. Please let me know.
This, Full House, Raynond, Cosby Show, etc had endings so great that the entire cast say their goodbyes to the audience. Finales like those shows will never be the same.
Evidently when he came back for that Christmas episode in season 8, everyone ignored him just like the script for the episode. Why would he want to come back after that?
I miss this show tremedly come back please do some more more seasons love you all your family. and have shown me what a family is love, and full of laughters as well. take care all.
Thanks for putting this up! Nostalgia! Wow, everyone, we just witnessed the passing of family values and somewhat good morals on t.v.- 90's ABC sitcoms on prime time. I sure do miss that, they don't make them like that anymore.
When the final curtain call aired, it ripped my heart out to not see JTT there. Even-though I knew why he wasn't there, but even after all the time he spent on the show, he was still apart of the show --at least to me
In that one episode where he took that job abroad? ...it was because JTT left the show, because was offered movie deals, and according to contracts he couldn't be on television at the same time. For-granted there was no problem to be in movies and television when he did The Lion King, though that was because he was technically a cartoon character, and it was his voice(not his person/face) that played the young Simba.
Soooooo ...even-though JTT was the middle-brother on the show, he was younger(in real life) than the youngest brother on the show? Because the youngest brother(on the show) made it there. Anyways ...not the point --still felt sad not seeing JTT there none-the-less.
Just finished rewatching it. They captured lightning in a bottle. All good things must come to an end. Thankful to everyone that made the show possible.
Home Improvement was my favorite kid-friendly sitcom growing up (also watched Full House, and Kenan and Kel). I was a big fan that I was even watching the reruns on TBS until first half of 2000s, and that's the time when I knew that their chemistry and relationship was just more than cast mates, they were like a family. And Brad's tear and words sum it up well. 90s was just the best era for family sitcoms, and if I was a critic, I wouldn't hesitate to put it behind Full House for the best kid-friendly sitcom of the 90s.
Saw the pilot while at Ft. Polk, Louisiana in the barracks. We just bought a new TV at the PX. I think we all pitched in like $50? There was 4 of us to a room. And when we hooked it all up it was like right in time for Home Improvement. The cave man grunt was so unique.
This feels like so long ago.. I remember watching this and just crying! I learned English because of this show.. I arrived to this country in 97, so this show was already running .. I started watching it and without knowing a word of English, I would totally get it! The happiness that this show could bring you was universal.
I miss sitcoms period. This was one of the last that I watched every week and I'll still watch reruns when I catch them on as well now. But that hurry up and get my chores and homework done so I could watch the week's episode was just a part of my childhood I'll never forget. I doubt anyone grows up like that any more.
This is a show that I can Truly Say Is Absolutely Amazing. I grew up watching Home Improvement and Learned to Laugh More. I loved how it was a Wholesome Family Show. I own every single episode on Dvd. I Love You Cast Of Home Improvement and Thank You So Much For Your Wonderful Work On This Nostalgic Show. I Love JTT! Huge Fan Also!!! 🙋😏❤ #thisisfamily
My childhoods is such a memorable one and for that I’m beyond grateful the shows the toys the food family happiness everything was so simple drinking from the house the pool filled with Super soakers classic music that made you move and was easy to just live life. Born in early 80s growing up in early 90s I will never ever forget.
Very emotional moment glad we saw Earl Hindman’s entire face RIP Earl Hindman great man.Wish Jonathan Taylor Thomas appear part of backstage group with cast.
1:22 Damn... When I saw Zachary's face it really "cut the onions" for me! Definitely one of the more memorable (and loved) shows that I grew up with (turning 41 in 8 days... yikes! lol). They just don't make 'em like they used to. Haven't even had cable for 5 or 6 years now
thats why you got to enjoy the little things. no matter when or where you are. who you are with, or what your doing or why youre doing it, just enjoy it. i always tell people that i live my life in the moment because you never know when it will be over. God and Jesus, and the Kingdom of Heaven last forever. but thats it. i like to reminisce on these kind of shows because it brings me to a place in life when i was truly happy and didnt have to grow up and worry about much, if anything at all.
My favorite show was the time the snake episode, coming out of the hole and onto Tims shoulder and he thought they were joking around. The bloopers of it his hilarious.
Ein schönes Ende...vor allem ist das erste mal auch das Gesicht von Nachbarn zu sehen. Das sind Serien, mit denen wir gross geworden sind. Thank You...
Nothing even comes close to this or likely ever will! Top notch and bar none show and cast! Used to watch it in our family room when our kids were growing up and it really helped discussing issues of the day! Will never forget it! Hard to believe this has been 20 years ago now. Sure wish JTT had appeared for the curtain call out of respect for the show and cast! Thanks always Tim, Patricia, Richard, Zachary, Taran, JTT, and Debbie and RIP Earl! We miss you all!
I LOVE THE EPISODE WHERE TIM AND JILL ARE EATING AND JILL GETS MAD BECAUSE TIM IS LOOKING AT OTHER WOMEN...AND DEBBIE ASK TIM FOR HIS AUTOGRAPH ... POOR TIM
In a time where I want to feel joy again, almost like going back to my childhood where there were no worries, when life was easy; I've been watching this show from start to end and its brought back so many fond memories. I wish I could go back and enjoy them; lifes just too much these days as an adult and im often left wondering why am i even here.
Life could still have been like that, except that evil interests took over our government and society. They can't have people together in strong families enjoying life, in gaiety, working hard and being rewarded for it. They want to control every aspect of your life. What you can eat, your thermostat, whether you can even leave your home or not.
They certainly don’t make shows like they used to. The 90s had great comedy shows and they were family friendly. Home Improvement, Seinfeld and Friends all great shows from an era.
The whole "JTT was away at college so he couldn't come back" is a bunch of bunk. I understand leaving the show to pursue an Ivy League degree, but he was too busy to show back up (or at least send a taped goodbye) for the finale? No way I believe that. Had to be a disagreement over $$$$$, plain and simple. Only reason somebody wouldn't show up.
Jonathan and Tim had a falling out that was the reason why he didn't come back for the finale, which is BS because that shouldn't have been the reason not to show.
+sweetlikez I THINK... and I use that word loosely, but I think it had to do with Tim not being comfortable with the fact that Jonathan abandoned the show and is "family" in a sense. I mean he was happy for Jonathan and all, but at the same time Tim felt a little hurt.
this reminds me of my child hood the happy times I grew up watching every episode I use to make sure nothing would let me miss out on any show, everytime I watch this i start to well up teary eyed I can't believe something like this could touch my heart If I could have one wish in this world it would be to bring back home improvement and Tim the tool man Taylor and cast just 1 more time for a reunion but I'm old now won't see it in my life time 😉 rip wilson 😄👍
THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS IN THE 90'S..... now we got what? nothing. lol Yeah tim has that show last man standing... but it doesn't even compare to the old show. Shows these days aren't all that great. (modern family is great... but nothing else is even that good like the 90's)
I hope that her role has a lot to do with her personality cause if it was just acting and she's like a Miley Cyrus behind the scenes that would be heartbreaking 💔.
Both casts had great chemistry and seemed to care about their castmates. I think the BBT finale was a bit less emotional because it ran for about 5 seasons longer than it should have.
@@crawford586 The first I'd heard of Big Bang Theory was a rerun on TBS, 2009 - 2010, so I thought it was already cancelled and it was just a crappy quirky show like Saved by the Bell. Ihad no idea it was still in production. I had no idea what a great show it was until somebody at work made me watch it.
Sitting here watching this in 2021 kind of makes me tear up a little bit when this used to come on oh, my whole family would sit down and watch it I think it was part of the TGIF series back then..... brings back old times
