My all-time favorite. I've been playing in pipe bands for most of my life (45+ years) and I've gone to many Highland events. The guy tossing the caber at 3:44 is Rod, an old friend of our family's.

It actually DOES take a lot of skill and strength to do the caber toss. They're REALLY heavy. The large cabers often weigh between 90 and 140 lbs. Even the smaller ones "the ladies use" can weigh 70 lbs.

lol! Actually OTHER THAN GOLF those other Traditional Scottish sports and farming / hobbies seem pretty epic! I wish some of the central European nations had that long wooden long moving activity! I'm part German so that long log thing seems to fit right in at OKTOBERFEST! lol! I'd even PAY to watch it and hear a Scottish narrator explain it and stuff about each competitor.
