Yes, I had developed as a producer in the time that passed between the creation of those two tracks. But I'm also more at home in the house genre than I am in the drum'n'bass genre - and that certainly matters too.

Sorry, I don't have the project files for any of the Payday The Heist tracks - they've been lost in switches between computers and the upgrade from Buzz (the DAW I used to work in) to Ableton Live. so, in short, I unfortunately can't do this sort of in-depth analysis of any of the PDTH songs.

@@SimonViklund Dude, I don't know. There's something so much better about PD:TH. The music always fit and each track was so unique. The music was fairly gritty as well, and that helped capture the more realistic nature of PD:TH. Now that I think of it, PD:TH as a whole was just better. Bigger heists, more randomization, only 4 heisters, so team voice lines felt pretty human. I could go on for a whole essay dude. I wish things didn't change from back then. Payday 3 will probably be terrible or just never come out. GTFO is gonna beat it no matter what, though. OVK:TWD is proof that Overkill has gone to shit, man. You're one of my idols, and it feels great to actually be able to tell you this.

That song is all live instruments played by professional studio musicians. But yeah, I could still make an analysis of it. It's just that it would be cool to have actual footage from the recording session, which I unfortunately don't have.

Wanna go play the original PDtH in the free time? The music sure was catchy.

I record guitars, bass and vocals myself - but I never record drums. It's a huge hassle to record drums - who has their own studio to do it in, plus the time and the energy?! So for all my EDM tracks I mix a lot of drum/percussion loops, individual drum hit samples and acoustic drum VSTs to create the beats I want. Some rock tracks I've produced have had live drums but then I've had to rent a studio and a drummer to record them - for example "The Flames Of Love", "Trouble's Always Inbound", "Half Past Wicked" and "White Collar Crime".

I think Simon re-done it and included in RADIX EP.

Yeah it's a bit of everything - I got quite a lot of expansions to it (but I always buy them during the Christmas sale). I use Nexus mainly for lead synths and plucks.

SimonViklund I don’t remember leaving that comment lol. I’m pretty sure at the time I was looking into new vsts to buy. I ended up choosing komplete 12. Before two months ago, all I had was just nexus.
