Very cleaver using the two ballpeen hammers. Next time you're having a difficulty drilling because of a hard surface, use your rotary with a bur about the size of the drill bit and make a small divot to act as a starting hole. As always, thanks for the time and energy you expend to bring us your efforts and insights.
Perfect for the Land of 1000 Lakes! Very nice looking designs on all your lures. Genius trick on the dual peen hammered scales - those lake trout are goners. A set would make a nice Xmas gift for all the die hard fishermen. Congrats again!
Well now we know...mind you saving gas and heat times plus investment is a really sensible thing to do all the time not just now when stuff is expensive. I have been there with the split rings, similar story too but I was making stainless steel spoon parts into sea fishing lures...mine worked, the handle of a spoon in particular was great for Sea Bass and Codling, I guess it looked like a sand eel I think those will be great for Bass and Trout ...Bass are big mouthed beasties so those are a nice mouthfull Thanks for sharing
Thanks for this one. Earlier I made some lures by turning a piece of brass. That was a lot of work. Now I am plannning to 3D print some own designs. Maybe I could some metal poured, like Aluminium to a mold made by them.
I am enjoying your videos so much. I hope that you get back to doing your original animal sculptures. I do lost wax bronzes mainly of birds and sea creatures and note that sculptures get more interesting when you have 2 creatures interacting somehow. I noticed that you didn’t use the high temp silicone this time. Did you find that to be unnecessary?
@lundgrenbronzestudios I'm sure they will there is a guy on RU-vid that made a stick lure that was is an actual stick and fish were caught on it also I was wondering if you would make a fish bronze sculpture (salmon) or a bear holding a fish in its mouth head bust just a suggestion
