While speaking on the ‘No-Confidence’ Motion debate in Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah gave detailed reasons behind Manipur violence with historical background. He cornered the Opposition and said that doing politics on these incidents is shameful. Furthermore, he agreed that there have been incidents of violence in Manipur, but no one can support such incidents.

Democracy has its merits and demerits as well.. Whether like it or not, gotta stick to elected leader. But the main advantage is that you can hope to change that in end of terms or midways constitutionally. But as voters, our main job is to vote the better person who can his job better and possibly beyond

@@RaviKumar-xe1id true that.. And this also raise another topic which is Fairness. I come from a hilly tribal areas where politics or govt facilities of influence is lowest. In such place, people in power play a very little role. Even when it does, there is no proper institution of law that helps uphold justice without interest since they are under the cintrol of elected candidate. So all hope still fall on the next better candidate. Its a blessing that politics holds no proper powere here and disappointment at the same time that govt has no proper hold in there

It's a simple issue. It is NOT due to the ST demand by meiteis. Meiteis have been demanding ST status since past 12 years peacefully without provoking any other community. The real issue is that Kuki community has been feeling frustrated because their poppy cultivation business has been hit badly by CM Biren + state govt action against their illegal immigrants brethren from Myanmar who have occupied and settled new villages in forest areas. All combined with their decade long plan to carve out a separate state/country only for Christian Kukis has led to this unprecedented violence and ethnic cleansing of meiteis from their own state

If you have a country, you have a boundary. Protecting the border is the central govt job, completely failed in Manipur Myanmar border. Chin Kuki rebels, illegal immigrants, poppy cultivation, and unrest in state while politics as usual is going on in New Delhi for a long time, not only BJP govt now, but also all previous govts since Manipur became a part of India in 1949. Today, you are seeing, outsiders are claiming their territory inside Manipur, India. Who is listening and taking care of that infiltration.

There is no outsider. Which source you are referring too. Don't come and claim that manipur is owned by meitei only. Meitei land estimated only 700sqkm. The rest is for Nagas and the kukis. Stop meiteing

If u think it is babbling please give your suggestions or your friends from the dots group who went there for sightseeing return with no solution but more rubbish statements. Congress was ruling for years before BJP took charge did nothing for the region. So understand the situation before u blabber it is so easy as u think. @@haojamonsitlhou9036The Japanese invasion during WW2 was mainly from the South, ie. Burma, was mainly resisted by the tribesman in the area to protect their lands. Majority of them were Kukis and Nagas. Hence they were declared as freedom fighters. Simple as that.

Why to blame Modi govt for Manipur violence?? I still don't get it.. it was an ethnical war, a fight between kuki and meitei. No outsider came to Manipur and told them to fight.. they choose this. Here, in Kerala, there is a row going on for the last several years between Othodox and Yacobites over the possession of Churches . They could not reach any amicable settlement so far in spite of the intervention of Govt as well as Courts. Fortunately, both of them have not taken law in their hands. Otherwise it would have been a worse condition than Manipur. Kukis only took Arm first in Manupur about a Court Order and they are solely responsible for the present crisis.

Now it is projected as a big issue because Centre and state are ruled by BJP. That was a place where AFSPA WAS in force for several years
