October is always a BIG month in our house - fall is in full swing (so we do all the traditional "fall" things like playing in the leaves and carving pumpkins), my birthday falls right in the middle, and then we end with Halloween and Trick or Treating!
(On top of that, as a photographer, October is always the busiest month of the year for weddings, engagement sessions, and portraits!)
Speaking of my birthday - we had my entire family over for a little party and Derrick (with the help of Luis - my newest, quietest, most chill & reserved brother-in-law) pulled off the surprise to end all surprises. (And started a new birthday tradition? I'm not sure - we'll have to see what happens at the next birthday!)

I can hardly believe that October is already over - and now it's onto the holiday season! I'm SO excited!
