Great vid thanks! If you have the black magic atem do you not need an elgato capture to film continuously? My camera cuts out at 30 mins and trying to learn the work around. Also, do you ever go more in depth on your atem and elgato stream deck? Would love to learn more about those for recording and live streaming. Thanks, you guys are the best!
Im almost positive we have the same desk (Costco FTW) I want to mount a mic boom arm and maybe some other accessories, but Im worried about the glass breaking / cracking... what are your thoughts?
The Rode mic is USB super easy plug and play for daily zoom calls, SM7B needs an audio interface with xlr cables + cloud lifter - Personally, i think it would be bulky for a clean setup like that. Just my thoughts

Great video and great set up. As a fellow youtuber, one thing I would add is dont get so caught up in gear or obsessed with gear before you start making videos. That's what originally happened to me. I got stuck in start a couple years ago. I convinced myself that buying gear and watching videos was the first step in having a channel. It's not. Making videos is the only thing that counts in starting a channel. As my channel has grown, and I'm actually making a money from the channel, I've rewarded myself by slowly upgrading. 20 years ago I moved to LA to pursue my music career. The friend I moved out there with wanted to be LAs biggest real estate mogul. He spent 6 months building the most beautiful home office. Marble cut desk, what was the most hi-tech computer available at the time, even some expensive artwork. Never got a client though. Lol. He spent all his time polishing his furniture.
Funny how just a few weeks before this video came out that you said there was no good reason to upgrade from the top pick M50 to the M50 Mark II. So now with using the Atem Mini Pro you have M50 Mark II’s in use. Is that because the M50 will NEVER work well with the Atem? How are you keeping the USB mic in sync with the video output from the Atem on a live feed? It looks like you don’t actually answer any questions here so I am probably wasting my time asking but, thought I would give it a try.
Honestly we were sent the M50 II to review and keep so thats why I use it for my webcam setup - if I had to choose I would get a better camera that shoots 4k and has clean HDMI. M50 will work with the ATEM but you will have to use manual focus and shut off all display settings as it does not have a clean HDMI. I think the best upgrade you can make now is either a Sony ZV-E10 or a Canon M6 II
love this, i like the friction arm attached to the monitor arm, this is exactly the solution i've been struggling to figure out. I actually have 2 iPhone XS's, could this setup be done using those as my cameras?
To be honest, the link took me to a lot of cheap junk. I'm already processing a return with Amazon for a desk than only lasted 3 months, before falling to bits. As you can imagine, returning a desk without the original packaging is a real pain. Deassembly, repacking etc. I'm happy to spend for a quality product
Learned a lot from the video; however, do not have the extra money to invest the equipments, which makes me sad. I'm doing my best to raise the money in order to build a studio room for livestream, music recording, etc. How do you make, record, edit videos when you do not have those professional equipments? I"m also on a macbook pro (2019) and I'd like to have more options for plug ins, second camera and a different Hub that isn't using my macbook for power source. YOU NAILED THAT for me. Thanks!!
I have an electronically adjustable standingdesk. Fantastic - but you do need some kinda *soft mat with uneven surfaces* (I use an old piece of baffles sponge foam) on the floor to take the strain off your legs and feet after a while. Considering the glass top - that's super kool.
I do unboxing and reviews. So I need a clean desk to showcase the products. I would love to get a standing desk for my M1 Mac Mini setup and I really like the CalDigit Hub. I have the Satechi hub that goes under the Mac Mini, which is great, but it doesn't compare to the ports of the CalDigit. Now I want to buy that as well. Grrrr....Omar always getting to want to spend more on my setup. Hahaha

Only part I cared for was the desk…. Not to be the hater but this is over kill for me. I get it OCD and cords….. but for real…. What’s wrong with a comfy gaming chair and a front room studio with a big computer hooked up to your tv????
Can you show us how you connect everything into the CalDigit? I have the TS3+ and now my Logitech c920 usb camera and my Blue Yeti usb mic won’t read on my MacBook Pro when using zoom. Super confusing lol
Hi Omar, which viewsonic budget 32 inch monitor would u recommend. This was is 4K so I would be happy with 1080p or 2K. Ive also interest in the Viewsonic monitors which have usb-c for charging laptop but im lost for choice in Viewsonoic. You can technically hit the like button on a TV. I use a Roku and I can hit the like button (im currently on my desktop now) but it's kindof hidden. It should be on top of the progress bar, I think you have to hiit options or something similar, then youll see the thumbs up button thumbs down and the like.

Can a Mac Mini actually run Adobe Premiere editing 4k? I think it could keep up with just HD, but not so sure it could edit a 4k timeline. Please let me know your thoughts or experience with this.
Question about the Mac Mini M1 does it work well with Video editing ? I use DaVinci Resolve and what specs do you have ? Or should i wait for M2 MacMini or get Mac Studio ? Mainly for editing video and Photoshop
