I have watched multiple videos of yours to help one of my cats who is indoor/ outdoor - mostly outdoors.. but he's had multiple issues and currently a u.r.i. your advice has not only saved him, but also us! There's no way we could afford to take him to the vet as many times as we would have had to without your videos!! Sending prayers and MANY thanks!!!

I'm letting people know...his remedies work! I adopted my cat from the city shelter, was a rescue from hoarding situation and she had Upper Respiratory Infection. I took her to the vet and she got antibiotics...those worked, thing was it came back 3 months later....then again 4 months later. I didn't want to keep giving her antibiotics and have her become immune to them (and who knows what else it can do to the body). I knew there had to be anotber way...thats how I found Dr Jones. I treated her with L-Lysine (found 500mg capsules with powder inside). And sprinkled his recommended dose on her wet food at mealtimes. She was better in about 10 days. I give her that dose once a day each morning and she has had NO symptoms ever since!

Lysine.. I’ll look that up. We have working cats here in Texas and it’s not easy to put anything in their eyes. They don’t mind going full blown scratch and bite. However we have one that has been with us for 18 years. We had to take her to the vet last year. No one would pick her up so finally my husband walked over, picked her up and put her in the carrier like the cat had done it all her life. She didn’t like the car ride but was friendly to the vet. She had a stick in her eye. All went well. Green tea won’t sting so I think it’s possible if necessary. Thank you. This lysine may come in handy too. Oh, the old cat has a baby carriage with a heat lamp for winter. She is one of the few we give a little extra attention to. It does get cold here in central Texas sometimes.

Wow lysine works really good, Martha was with watery eye and feeling down gave her lysine and by the 3rd day she was way better still giving her until 12 weeks

I tried the green tea drop from one of your other video, it worked real well for my cat, even better than the topical gel.

Been giving my cat lysine ongoing. Her FHV never goes away. She is also FIV positive, so has reduced immune system. The infection doesn't affect her eyes.

Oh my goodness. That kitten is mouth breathing. He's not doing well at all. Watching that kitty suffering makes my heart hurt. I hope kitty got some urgent care for relief. Gosh, so much suffering. my baby boy I got from the shelter came with an awful urti. I am on a fixed income (I know a lot of people think I shouldn't have pets because of that... I think those people are dicks). 700 to the vet for no real improvement and poor information. I wish I had seen this video. what about doxy? I finally gave up on the vet and found doxy and terramycin ointment and did that and it worked out. terramycin you can get without a prescription. the doxy I found from a place that my vet would not have approved of. I did have lysine but my cat started gagging on his food when I used it. you probably won't see this comment but if you do, I wonder what you think of what I did. is it OK? was I just stupid lucky they got better (cause of course my new baby shared it with my other girl). also good side note for people is that they need to clean their hands before and after handling the kittens to care for their eyes. because they can actually transmit some of their infections to us.

Doctor I need your help

I just found your channel by researching for information on feline URI. We have been rescuing ferrel cats and kittens for about 15 years. A female cat came to our home and has given birth to 4 litters of kittens. We haven't been successful in catching her to have her spayed! All of her kittens get neutered and spayed, but she is too warry of the cage. To our surprise, she had her last litter by our steps under the carport two weeks ago. One of the kittens is sick with an URI and the mother cat was not able to care for it. It was dehydrated and I could hear the congestion during breathing, and her eyes were glued shut. We got some KMR and she fed well from a dropper and once she rehydrated her nose started running clear drainage. Initially there was no color when cleaning her eyes, but now it is a reddish brown color. The last 24 hrs I noticed that she has developed suprasternal retractions and stridor which is worse after feeding. I have been taking her in the bathroom and using the steam from the hot shower to help her breathe. The veterinarian here refuses to see ferrel cats. The shelter used to help, but their are too many ferrel cats here and they had to stop. Our house backs up to a large wooded park and it is full of ferrel cats. I will try the black tea, but I wonder if I am supposed to drop the tea in or on the eyes? I will also try the lysine, but, I don't have a scale that weighs ounces, so I don't know how I can calculate the dosage for this tiny kitten! If anyone has any advice, I would so appreciate it! I thank God for this man! New subbie! Yesterday was day 4 of giving her l-lysine and she is doing much better after only 3 treatments of it! She had no appetite and was snotty nosed and trouble breathing through her nose. I mixed it with chicken noodle soup and used one of those things you give a baby their meds with to get it in her since she wouldnt drink or eat! She was belly up today and in a good mood! Plus no clogged up snotty nose but still a little sneezing, and her nose was still a little runny but man a big difference! Id clean her nose when i saw it clogged up, we even brought her in and put her in a carrier in our kids bathroom, turned the shower on hot water and shut the doors to try to help her breathe better! I also have been giving her 1ml or less of black seed oil for 4 days with the l lysine!😊❤

I had someone pick up litter for me, but they got a different kind. About a week and a 1/2 in, my 4 yr old cat started sneezing. As the days went on, sneezing got more frequent and more forceful. I bought more, scrubbed out box/switched it out, 2-3 sneezes and 24 hours in, his sneezing is gone.

Dr. Sorry to get you off topic. There is some disease here where I live (TX), particularly in my neighborhood, that is rapidly killing cats. I buried one just a few days ago and one is outside my house that is, more than likely, not going to see tomorrow. Also, I played with said cat knocking on heaven's door and he would scratch me quite a bit, but I would wash up thoroughly as soon as I got indoors. However, I now have a fever and feel aches. I will be going to the Dr on Monday, but I need to know what I might have - if it's related to cat borne diseases. Thank you in advance! I forgot to mention. The cats that died sneezed occasionally before getting ill. I didn't even know cats could sneeze!

Not trying to be hateful. But iread an article by a vet that lysine does not work for cats? That their body doesnt really process it well? Personally from my experience my cat didnt respond to lysine. It did nothing at all to help her eyes and sneezing

Is this a good option for swollen glands? my cat is still about to be evaluated by a veterinarian for the second time, the first time was because of not eating or drinking too little, the vet noticed the swollen glands, he also has his tongue in between his teeth often and meows in pain from time to time

@vetrinary secrets i hope you can help. My daughters friend dropped her off this sick kitten. Ive been usuing NOW Pet Health, L-Lysine Supplement, Powder what is the doseage? I cant figure out how to configure 100 mg. Ive been giving her aprox 1/16 of a teaspoon on her food which is equalivient to 156mg every 2 days. How do you reccomend i does her? Also do you know about how long until i start seeing results? The eyes are now almost cleared up. I feel horrible for her. Ive also been usuing the humidifier. Thank you for what you do. I wanna share my cat's problem BC it looks similar but it's worse. He has no eye trouble though. My adult cat got a uri in the middle of his life. No antibiotic has cleared it & the lysine didn't work BC it wasn't a virus. Paid for a culture and it came back as Pseudonomas Aerginosa & ended up still being resistant to the floroquinolone that was suppose to help based on the culture testing for resistance. :/ Apparently this BACTERIA also creates thick mucous biofilms in humans with cystic fibrosis too. Just sharing in case anyone else has the same problem. Vet warned me that only 20% of cats get better with chronic URI's. My cat is still suffering. Any advice is appreciated.
