Thank you! And of course! I'm using a few Logic stock plugins (not many) and Serum, although you could probably make this with stock synths too. You just need to install Logic :) It's important to work on the harmony and the melody. So a lot of MIDI work.

The side-chain trigger is a sound that basically tells the compressor when to compress. If you want to side-chain a sound to the kick, then, logic says the trigger should be the kick itself, the problem with that is the kick usually has a tail that will create a long side-chain no matter how short the release of the compressor is, so, by using another sound that's very short you can have full control of the length of the side-chain by adjusting the release of the compressor. Also, that sound should be totally silent since it has no musical value, it should just be a click, an impulse, that simply triggers the compressor. Hope that makes sense.

The arp is a single saw wave with a plucking low-pass filter envelope. Key to nailing the sound is to use a good amount of resonance on the filter (quite literally) which gives it that 'acid' tone. There is also some layered white noise, reverb, OTT, a lot of delay, and then the midi notes are quite complex but essential to getting the sound right. Then the cutoff is automated to add more movement & evolution as the track progresses.

Correct, it's Serum, but you can do these sounds with many synths. Probably with some stock logic plugins like Alchemy you could get amazing results.
