I used to use those piano books! My parents always wanted my siblings and I to continue with piano, but let us stop taking lessons when we got older and really did not want to play anymore. All of us have come back to it in our own time and music has been such a large part of my life. I'm so thankful they encouraged me to stay with it and it helped me so much in school!

For all the people who complain about you being rude to Joel (like with untangling your jewelry) I wonder if they notice all you do for him in return?! Welcome back home you guys :) I was a nail biter myself and it so happens that it was because my parents were too hard on me. Throughout my childhood my father had been way too strict with me, very domineering and at 10 years old I already developed anxiety disorder, suffering from panick attack daily. Now, at age 32 I have extremely low self esteem and still have panick attacks almost daily, especially during eating. One thing I learned from all this, never force your kids to do stuff they don`t want to do. You are a great mom and I love your sweet family. You are my favorite vlogger of them all :)
Hi Kat - I had the same type of dad that you did, only mine was my stepfather who hated me. I got in trouble for everything from being a redhead, being left handed, and wearing glasses starting at age 5. Nothing about me was any good, according to him, so it's no wonder I struggled with low self-esteem. I can totally relate to you! I love how Bonnie and Joel are so positive with each of their children and support them as the beautiful individuals they are!
Easiest tomato rice florentine ever. 1 jar of Classico Spinach Florentine pasta sauce (yes I said pasta sauce), 4 cups of boiled water from the kettle & 1/2 to 1 cup of rice. Everything into the pot... back to boiling then cover and simmer 20 min & done! Yummy! The longer it sits the less liquid there will be which is why the rice amount varies according to what you prefer. Heather xo

I love that you're teaching your kids piano! Growing up I never got the opportunity to learn. I ended up going to college for music education and I was one of the only people that had never played piano before. It was so hard to learn at my age, I failed Piano 0 and had to take it twice. 😰

I love this vlog and am so happy you have your babies back and made it safe. However the fact that you couldn't post the video as 9/11 literally made me so angry that I feel like my bloods boiling. It was such a sad time for our country and pretty soon they will stop playing the memorials on tv. Same thing with the holocaust, they don't even teach that in schools anymore. and if they do its doctored up because it offend people.
I know that and I do care about that. Its something our children will read about in history books. Its sad, You cant forget about what happened, And why it happened. If those things are erased or written off as to offensive then its going to continue to happen!

Hi! I wanted to share a little insight on why you had trouble going slowly as a child, and why Olivia is having that same problem. The heart rates of kids around that age are generally between 120-136 beats per minute, which is way faster than that metronome! It's absolutely still good to have her practicing at that tempo, but I just wanted to let you know why it can be difficult; kids are wired for fast!! It's been fun to watch her progress so far :)

Bonnie - you should use some essential oil, it will help your skin 100 %. Try Kiehls Midnight oil or Trilogy Rosehip, or both. It will make a huge difference!
I think Bonnie said she forgot to add in the tomatoes. A can of tomatoes would really be delicious in it! I'm thinking of trying to make taco soup tomorrow and I'll definitely be sure to add in a can of tomatoes. What type of canned tomatoes do you use?
I love taco soup! We are doing it tomorrow night. We don't add cilantro and do add the tomatoes into the soup. lol Also we add all of the things you would put on top of a taco to the soup when we are done. So when we serve we put lettuce, fresh tomatoes, salsa, and cheese. It's SO yummy!
Hi Bonnie!! I use to play piano when I was little for about 7 years and I remember also having trouble staying with the tempo. One way that helped me was counting, first with the metronome to get the tempo, and then as I played, I would also count along. I did this when I first started playing and it helped me. Maybe you can try it with Olivia. Hope this helps!!.

Hi Bonnie. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis disease, hypothyroidism. With your dry skin and other symptoms such as tiredness, and you mentioned puffiness a while ago, and the family history of thyroid disease... I would consider getting a full thyroid blood test. checking for T3 and T4 and thyroid antibodies. It seems pretty clear with watching all your vids that there is something more than just mumma tiredness. What harm can it do to check? Have a great day. From Australia.
Bonnie Hoellein I am literally putting it I to remission by following the 'trigger'and eliminate and replace method. (Ellie has said before she takes a tablet to deal with it, but there is a way to help and heal it I've noticed she doesn't know.) I'm pregnant and losing weight in all the puffy areas that just wouldn't budge, while putting the good pregnancy weight on. It's kinda bowling my mind. look up unbalanced endocrine system or thyroid and healing it naturally.
Bonnie...maybe you have Rosacea. I have red, dry skin and my dermatologist helped me clear it up. I had full blood work done and I am all clear for anything causing it. I am 30 as well so at this age and after 4 kids it could be rosacea.

My face is usually very dry at this time of the year as well. But, I also have sensitive skin (more so in the fall/winter months) So, I can't use anything from the store. I've been using products from Lemongrass Spa and thank goodness because it's a lifesaver! And thankfully my friend sells it and I can support her business. 😀
