Sherry is Canadian, but she's lived in Shanghai for the past twenty years. Around 14 years ago she bought a small, Shanghai laneway apartment covering just 958 square feet or 89 square meters. She put her architect training to good use and converted the space into a 3-bedroom, inner-city home for the couple and their three children.
Home Sweet Shanghai is an original series by Andy's Shanghai Life, introducing viewers to the homes of ordinary foreigner's living in China's biggest city, Shanghai.

Like this footage taken by Andy as usual. Andy's footage always shows a calm and peaceful mood. The town house in JingAn District should be expensive nowadays. Sherry's home is nice not because of its price. The house looks cozy and contains the feeling of heritage.

The workmanship looks superb. The Chinese joiners are amazing. The tradesmen in the west are bodgers. They just couldn't care less. No pride in the work.

Lovely cinematography. Always enjoy your Home Sweet Shanghai videos. Its the quality of a space that matters not necessarily the amount of it and your videos show that well. Looking forward to the next one!
