I was amazed to see that you had changed the too, to the very blue that we have used in one of our spare bedrooms, it’s the most beautiful of shades and I think that it looks gorgeous in your room , the camera does not do the shade justice . Loved you sharing your pictures with us, we have a wonderful local framer who replaces frames and glass, he has been in business since I was a child and he also allows local artists to display in his window, he has framed a lot of my tapestries and my sisters art work too, hope that you manage to get the glass replaced in that beautiful antique picture , the pipe is just beautiful .🌺❤️🌸🌹🌺

Joerg is correct, the desk looks just like a campaign desk, and I believe it looks very nice in the space. Being a smaller room, the smaller desk does not command all the space. The family heirlooms are very special, and will look wonderful in Joergs office, as will some of your lovely collected pieces. The room is already looking terrific, and I look forward to seeing the built-ins. Well done guys.

You could probably get a Davenport desk up the attic stairs if you want an antique. You can get them fairly cheaply nowadays because they aren’t very popular because people want brand new x

We love to collect art from our travels too. I particularly look for miniature paintings and art as well. I have several prints I will frame when we finish building our new home. Can't wait. My favorite art we found was in Rome. All the artists painting in the streets of Rome. We found such beautiful original art work. I love the attic room. Loved the prints. I do something similar I buy a local art picture as my souvenir. It can be a small oil or watercolor, charcoal, ink whatever grabs my attention. I like your home content very much

The blue shade is beautiful and tranquil. Like the sea. A Maritime theme is a great idea. Opening your artwork was much like seeing dear old friends, I imagine. My late husband and I used to say that oftentimes as redecorating unfolds, a room just tells you what it will become...and not always quite as we had originally planned. Please don’t be concerned with content right now. Just hanging out with the two of you is a joy.

I really like your home content because I like to see other people’s houses and how they decorate. I can’t wait to see the dining room and master bedroom. I also hope we’ll see the garden. Joerg reminds me so much of my very German late husband. When Joerg is working on something, he seems to be totally focused on the task, and my husband was the same way. You’re both delightful, and I look forward to any video you make whether it’s travel or at home. You’re such a breath of fresh air.

First, that blue is absolutely gorgeous. An amazing choice for that room and you did a great job with it, too :) Second, about the paintings you would like to hang on those walls... there is a special way of hanging framed works to slanted walls, by using the proper wall anchors for them and something called keyhole brackets. Worth of checking and if I remember well (I have some of my paintings mounted this way), they weren't extremely expensive, and aren't hard to mount on the wall, either. If you find them, you would be able to have whatever you want on those walls. And third, for the cabinets you plan to fit in those spaces... now, this is only a suggestion, out of some experience with the similar problem. You might want to consider sliding door after all. This, because the room is small and if you decide on some other furniture, opening doors that open to sides might give you trouble time to time. Nothing you couldn't live with, I'm sure, but by using sliding doors, this could be avoided altogether. There are some really beautiful sliding doors and sliding screens (which can be amazingly decorated, as well), so it might be worth of a thought. But, I'm sure that regular doors would look amazing as well, so it was just a thought. It will be joy to see what you did with it, whatever you choose in the end :)
