What I love most about this vlog is your family connection… I also appreciate mom and dad, squatting down, so flexible, eating their fresh, homemade meal homemade together as a family…❤
It may sound like a broken record, but your family videos really are heartwarming. The love and respect you have for each other is what our world is sadly missing in homes today.
Next time Christopher is over you should do a segment where he just pretends to be you for a little bit. Don't even say anything about it. Just have him show off some plant or something. You guys look so similar!
I love how your home looks and I love how much Theo gets excited when your mum comes to visit. I hope you and your dad have a terrific time in Vietnam.
The way your mum speaks to Chris at the end feels very like familial and idk how to explain it but the sweet exchange of knowledge between people from different backgrounds is just so nice to see.
this is probably my favorite video of yours. just so heartwarming to see your family enter yours and chris' beautiful home, creating a meal from the fruits of your labor, and the stunning interiors as always
The clothesline is lovely! In case you didn’t know, you can buy washing machines that hook up to your sink - they use the water from the sink and then drain back into the sink as well. Along with the clothesline, that could eliminate the need to use the laundromat :)
Benji, I really like your parents and family. Can you someday go and sneak into their house and show us their decor, garden, and way they enjoy the simple precious moments? Thank you. Adrian
So good to see your parents.your father knows how to do everything and I know your mother's food is delicious. Have a safe trip and make lots of videos .
My Viet dad also knows a bunch of knots and I don't know where or how he learned them but they do come in handy too :') like your dad with the clothesline haha
Oh watching you with your family brings back some wonderful memories. The large family. The comings and goings. The little tweaks that only close siblings can laughingly throw at each other. The laughter. The kindness. The projects with dad. Cherish your family. Keep them close (even if they are half a world away). I remember those visits. I used to have those visits. But people get old. Cats in the cradle and all that. Truly enjoy watching you both together. Even if it is only a peek thru a small screen that you so lovingly present. Thank you. I'm not sure why this video has brought all this up. Been watching your vlogs for a while now. Sorry. Signing off now. Enough with me. It's late and the screen is blurry.
Cool video. The bamboo was such a creative idea. It looks so nice with the lights hung up. My chihuahua Pixie is terrified of thunder, fireworks and loud vehicles. I have to give her the natural calming drops when she gets too bad.
in relationships and families there will always be hardships and of course everyone has their ups and downs and you never know what goes on behind the scenes but just by looking at your family and your partner in the videos I have watched I realize the very genuine love that you all look at each other with and the respect of course. It's truly heartwarming
As I get older, my relationship with my parents really incrementally improved. lol whenever your mom gets excited about Theo, it reminds me of the time my parents said we couldn't have a pet and my dad and I totally ignored her and we got Dream (RIP)! She would get more excited about coming home to Dream instead of her own kids + grandkids. Thank you for sharing your family with us!
I love that you used the Bamboo from your yard to set up your clothesline!!! Have a great time in Vietnam...I hope you vlog a little bit of that and can't wait to see your Kokodama tutorial!
8:01 Theo is so precious. Poor guy. I had a little one that was terrified during thunderstorms and rain. She’d get so anxious and pant and pace and try to climb onto our heads. Over time the things I discovered that helped most were “closing up shop” at the first sign of a storm (closing windows/blinds/curtains), putting on her thundervest, and playing calming music loud enough to partially muffle the sounds of the storm. It wasn’t a cure all but it helped and I could get her to curl up next to me and comfort her. We did have to medicate her one monsoon season that was especially bad; she was keeping us up all night and making herself sick. Figuring out the above combination, we didn’t have to keep doing the meds. Doesn’t sound like Theo is as anxious but breaks my heart when they’re so scared, thought I’d share some of what helped us. He might also have been more attached because you were leaving on a trip. Our animals always seem to sense that and get clingier and kind of mopey.
Wow, your upcoming trip to Vietnam sounds like it's going to be quite an adventure! It's wonderful that you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with family and experience a Vietnamese wedding. Your balcony garden updates are always so fascinating to watch, especially seeing how you creatively utilize space and care for your plants. The addition of the new furniture pieces from Songmics seems to have really elevated the functionality and aesthetics of your living space. And it's heartwarming to see your family come together to work on various projects, from setting up the clothesline to planting herbs from your dad's garden. Thanks for sharing these moments with us! Safe travels and looking forward to more updates when you return! 🌿✈🏡
Great Video Benji! The grow wall is so nice. You finally found that wall its purpose. Well done! Enjoyed watching you thrive and enjoying family time in your evolving home.
lil tip. hang the tshirts upside down that way the crease wont be on the shoulders but on the bottom of the tshirts which is easier to iron out and less noticeable
It's been so cool to watch your living room change and evolve since you moved in. I love the practical use of the wall shelf. where did you get the dish for the kokedama?
I struggle with keeping the plants healthy, maybe you can show us how do you water and care about the inside plants? I wonder also if you put some gravel in the pots before adding the soil...the soil in my pots is either too wet either too dry, and get aphids from time to time
Ooh wonderful video! I'm sure others will tell you, but the golden rule is: peg shirts and t-shirts upside down and peg trousers and jeans from the waist. In this way, the peg marks don't show up as much ❤
8:24 i’ve never seen this angle of the bedroom before while you’re showing off plants but i loved it. this entire video was so peaceful i always love your videos. they’re very grounding
It's great to see that you're using a lot of native plants in your outside space, there's not many people so far doing it, even though it's what our nature needs.
Your videos really give my mind some peace and quiet! Would love to have the same set up of a house as yours in the future! Also woah, Christopher and you look like twins! You also have the same voice! And Nicholas is tall! You're all very good looking as well~ runs in the blood I must say~ Your family looks so sweet, warm and very comforting 🥺💚 sending hugs to all of you! Thank you for the upload, Benji! Looking forward to more videos soon~
So fun to see your family together! They look fun and kind. I was so excited for a minute when you said that the bamboo was "for the clothing line" because I thought you were going to launch a bamboo fabric Benjiplant t-shirts, etc.! Maybe someday. Your skills, your manner, and your work are so soothing and inspiring to watch. Thank you!
We love watching Theo and everything he does. He is absolutely adorable! 🥰 That wind and thunder would have been very scary for him. Luckily he has you two. We love your videos Benji, they’re so calming and wholesome. We especially love it when your family comes to visit. Thank you for sharing those special moments with us all. You are very lucky to have such a close knit family unit. We love how Theo loves his Nana so much and vice versa. 🥰 As usual we eagerly await your next video. Have fun in Vietnam. ❤
Binge watching your videos since morning. For some reason, I feel really relax and it's kinda have a healing moment❤️🩹 NEW SUBSCRIBER from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Hi I really love your videos and usually I don’t go up to youtuber’s posts which I’m subscribed to to say this but you really are someone who I get advice from, your posts are really reassuring and calm. Ty
cute, i love the clothesline! air drying is way better for the clothes and the environment. clothes on the line makes a garden look lived-in and homey, and it’s really useful for airing out bedsheets and towels between washes. also! i like your choice of music for these videos, and the way it’s mixed is really nicely done. 🥰
Thank you for evoking the memories of clotheslines. Every house I moved into with my mother as a child she would erect a clothesline and one Easter she even hid easter eggs on the rotating clothesline.
I have had enormous success using Bach flower remedies for dogs with fears triggered by thunder, fireworks etc - you could try Mimulus or a mix of Mimulus, Cherry Plum, and Agrimony. Even a few drops in Theo's drinking water while you are away in Vietnam might help. Lovely video. Thank you to your family for taking part - they seem a delightful bunch.
All normal glasses offer UV protection. This is why you don’t get sunburned when exposed to sunlight inside a car. It is only special, quite expensive, glasses that let UV light through and they are manufactured for certain specific purposes.
Have you tried using graphite on the track of that shoe cabinet? Try crushing a piece of pencil lead and putting the dust along the track, it can help lubricate (I think that’s what’s happening at least?) and make it work much better.
It’s partially because the weight of the aquarium puts pressure on the sliding door which makes it difficult to slide. It used to be fine until I put the aquarium on it! The cabinet is sturdy but I the aquarium weighs it down slightly which hinders the smoothness of the door.
Hi Benji- I'm a huge fan of your show. You have inspired me to make a Staghorn wall! I am also wondering if you can use a Soltech grow light from underneath a tree shining upward or if that would cause strange growth.
Benji if possible for you and chris you should consider getting theo another chihuahua to be friends with - It might help the clinginess some! chihuahuas are very loyal in nature and want to be around their owner 24/7 however when thats not possible they get lonely as they are social in nature. I used to have one grumpy old man chihuahua named chico for 7 years (he didnt really like other dogs it seemed throughout his life) however 2 years ago I was gifted 3 chihahuahua puppies and instead of sleeping all day in the corner or being clingy he will play with ocean, lua and java on the daily! its beautiful to witness their interactions with each other and healthy for them
There is an appropriate version of pot for dogs. In a storm that would be helpful to Theo. Check with your vet especially since he is so tiny. The dosage would have to be right for his size.
