I'm guessing you'll post it here when it's developed for colder regions.. Thank you for your reply and I'll be watching for it..keep up the great work you're doing..
We've sold hundreds of systems recently after launching our indiegogo campaign. Check out our brand new website and newest generation of HomeBiogas at homebiogas.com
+Rip0k Thanks! We've revamped everything. Check out our newest video and model here- www.indiegogo.com/projects/homebiogas-turn-your-waste-into-energy/x/1332927#/
I'm so impressed by you guys.. Question : I want the system but it'll be in Maine which is a colder climate for optimum output.. If I was to make a type of root cellar to place the system in, do you think that would solve the temperature problem ?
+Avraham Schumacher We're not quite there at this moment. (Though we've done commercial-sized before.) Through our IndieGoGo campaign and our recent sale of 200 units we'll be able to push the biogas potential but we need some more support to really get it to apartment buildings and beyond! Help us spread the word, and maybe next year we'll be there!
It's a Great Concept. Rock Solid in Theory. Your System needs a Redesign badly in my opinion. Yes I know. You have the design and Technology down Pat, Right? Wrong in my opinion. This Product could be so much more. Why don't you design with a Compressor? A Storage Tank for Gas under Pressure? Just asking. This System will only work in warn Climates. Just some thoughts and opinions that really don't count for nothing, does it? Thanks for the uploads mate. Your trying to help those in need. I Appreciate this. We need People like you and your Associations. Your System does need a redesign through, in my opinion. It could be so much better.
This is so cool! Wait, but will you be able to have a system that makes plastic into BioGas? Or, is that not possible with the technology used today, without burning the plastic?
How long does it take for the waste to break down so you can use the gas, water for shower, etc? Can it be used to hook up to your house for gas stove, and heat water for shower? Will the energy run the inside lights, forced air, etc? How much energy can you use, what will it run?
Hi TigerWild, to activate a brand new system, and produce gas for the first time, it takes between 2-4 weeks. After that initial period, it is a continuous flow system that will supply gas daily as long as one inputs waste daily. It will not produce enough energy for both a stove and water heating. The product will provide maximum gas for about 2-3 hours of cooking or about 45 minutes of water heating. For more info check out homebiogas.com
Hi Everyone! We are soon launching a crowdfunding campaign worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to get our system for US$ 890 only! It will start on November 17th, make sure to keep your place. Leave your details on homebiogas.com or send your details to lior@homebiogas.com
I think this is wonderful, but I wonder how poor people are supposed to afford it. Will the price ever go down so that rural families in developing countries can access your new product? At $1500, I couldn't easily afford it right now, and I live in the USA.
Thats a great question! Right now since we have not yet entered mass production, we do now have the option to reduce the price to the floor. But we have reduced it down to $995! The more people who get involved now, the faster (and lower) we can reduce prices. Also, we have found in several countries in Africa that the price of wood and charcoal is so expensive ($1-$2/day) that it is economic to purchase HomeBiogas and people are willing to make that investment.

+The Stewie Channel HomeBioGas thrives and performs well when the day/night, 24 hour, average temperature isabove 63 degrees F (17 degrees C). The system also needs ventilation so needs to be outside or:1. A green house could provide the necessary environment for HomeBioGas.2 You may also choose to use the system on a seasonal basis, i.e. operate it only during thewarmer seasons, and let it rest during the colder months. We are also developing a cold weather solution. Please let us know if you would like us to notify you once it is available. Since we do not provide a solution for it yet, we can't recommend installing it in a cold territory.
