1 reason i like and keep coming back to yr channel is you guys don't revolve yr life around material gain despite living in a capitalist city like Seoul. u know, shopping for the latest stuffs in fashion n food and all there other worldly possessions. eyes rolled. on the contrary, u guys focus on brain food (books, movies and daily communication), humble living which is totally down to earth and unpretentious but yet fulfiiling n living within yr means, and feeding those cats. keep it up and keep doing it, home bodies!

There’s a place in Orange County, CA., called ‘The Source.’ It’s a 3-story Korean outdoor mall. Filled with skin care and clothing stores, street food (food courts), restaurants, and bakeries. They have one of THE best shabu-shabu restaurants that I have ever eaten at. I promised our son that I would take him there, when he visits us in a few weeks. It’s so healthy with all of the various veggies! You guys….take care! I hope your parents are safe in Nova Scotia from that crazy snow storm, Sarah! I enjoy your vlogs every week. Your father was not exaggerating about the snow in Cape Breton. We had over 150cm in our neighbourhood. We were totally snowed in for days. Our neighbour came over in her snowshoes to shovel our doorway and front walk. The snow was over her head on the walkway.

We love doing hot pot/shabu shabu, those types of meals at home too! I agree with everything you said. Always cheaper, and you get to pick exactly what you want. We always have to add udon or some sort of noodle in ours. I'm like you Sarah, always about shopping online. I think it's probably cause I don't really like shopping, but if I know what I want, usually I can find it cheaper online than going to a brick and mortar to get it. And you don't have to spend the time to physically go out and get it. Damn it Amazon! Taking too much of my money lol.

Oh yes! Once you start to buy clothes online is it hard to ever go back to buy them in stores. I've never felt comfy to buy or try clothes on in the store, so ordering home is just the best as you can try them on in peace 😅

I dont know when it happened either but I mostly shop online all the time and I feel it's more convenient. I wish i could buy groceries online too but unfortunately that's not a thing in my town so it's less stressful to me. Beemo is so cute! His little paw ❤

Delicious food and quiet comfy moments are priceless :) I think I'm more pro going grocery shopping in person because I can pick my own produce and it's a good excuse to get outside (which I need sometimes). I try to pick quieter hours and it helps that I can walk to a store in about 5 mins.

Instead of covering lamps in a bedroom, you need smart bulbs. You can to control it with phone, to dim, to change colors... I set my lamp turn on 5 min before the alarm clock and little by little it becomes lighter, i don't get shock with a bright light during dark wintertime

I'm from Europe, so most of our supermarkets aren't super overwhelming (although we do have those as well), but I just love going to the supermarket and exploring. Often though I also know exactly what I want and just quickly go in and out without exploring (I guess you could say going to Aldi is more like going to a convenience store in Asia than a Walmart in the US, you know?). I love watching supermarket/food hauls from other countries. On the other hand I hate going shoe or clothes shopping. I think probably a lot of it boils down to always having been bigger than the average person my age so going clothing shopping is wasting time trying on stuff that doesn't end up fitting me. Shoes are similar, my size is always sold out, or what is left is ugly. And from the not ugly ones, my feet are often too wide to fit comfortably. So even if I find 20 pair of shoes, out of 8-10 nicer ones, maybe 2 or 3 will fit and then 1 is comfortable if I'm lucky. I spent hours of my adolescence in shops trying on stuff that didn't completely fit and so that's probably why shopping for clothes and shoes is a chore to me now. Btw, even when I lost weight and just with the overall more variety now, even if I go clothes shopping and find multiple things that fit and look good, it's still not something I'd seek out to do. If you give me the option of a supermarket or interior design store (especially kitchen ware and gadgets and appliances) over other shopping I'd always enjoy the supermarket and kitchen stuff. But I do see the other side. My mum hates going to the supermarket. She cannot understand how I could spend 45 minutes just walking through aisles, looking at stuff. So yeah, what is a chore to one person can be a relaxing, mind-engaging thing to the other 😅

Post pandemic I absolutely HATE going out to shop for groceries. If we have to go out, it has to be early in the morning because the stores get so crowded in the afternoon (I’m in Miami). Amazon and Walmart are my go to shops now, and the TikTok shop and Bloomchic for clothing.

I can relate so thoroughly with Sarah about not enjoying shopping! I always have my groceries delivered (it’s expensive in the US to do it with the delivery fee and tip but worth the expense to me) and I hate shopping for clothes. Being around a ton of people and I sort of get choice overload when I go. I struggle finding clothes online though. Seems like half the clothes I buy online I end up not liking so I really should make myself go physically into the stores even though I really don’t enjoy it.

Felt this vibe so hard--winter is so miserable in the part of Sweden where I live and I don't want to go anywhere, I don't want to socialize, leave me inside with soup and books, I'm good!

10:21 I definitely know what you mean, I think when everyone went on lockdown it changed some of us. I was a total extrovert but after 2020 I'm an introvert. Huge crowds of people give me anxiety and I just want to go home, to my safe place. Also, the little precious moments with your spouse are pure happiness. I try not to take it for granted, sometimes I have to remind myself to put my phone down and be in the moment with my husband.
