I went to a Brother Ali show and Homeboy Sandman opened for him. I didn't give him enough attention when he was performing, but damn was that a mistake.
Glad to know Homeboy still got it, a lot of golden lyrics in here. reminds me of when id just ride buses in my town to see shit and meet people. well done man
The Illest! Gotta wear a mask when’s I listen to Homeboy! Illest, but with the cure in hand too! Packed with wisdom, insight, and many cool sayings! Packed like the metro.
Been to his show last week. Man is a legend! All music sounds very energetic in live performance (in contrast to studio versions...I was expecting more relaxed kind of vibe). And I even got to shook his hand after the show, when he was selling lps and tshirts.:) Really down to earth kind of guy.
Right about now, Forget the headphones coz play there music out loud, our crappy phone speakers wanna strangle these clowns and sound even more worse than it actually sound. Still waiting on these 100 million beats ;)
Jonathan Rasta Found it! It's "two fare zone" which probably indicated you buy one fare for two bus rides. Used to be like that in Los Angeles back in the 90's
Yeah, they have similar vocal types and rhythm along with wonderfully made beats. I'd love to see both DOOM and Homeboy Sandman make an album with madlib.
their rhythm is similar, but DOOM packs in way more complex rhyme schemes. don't get me wrong, Sandman is nice on the mic but it's a different rhyming style. His style is closer to spoken word than DOOM's.
