In this video, I finalize the testing of the DDS module used in my homebrew spectrum analyzer, which is based on Scotty's Spectrum Analyzer:

I use the logarithmic detector board and the ADC board to measure the power passed by the crystal filter on the DDS board while sweeping the DDS.
I still use the Etherkit Si5351A Breakout Board as substitute for the master oscillator.

I do hope you regain the motivation to finish this project, I am surprised that you only have 39 thumbs up on this video, nevertheless, i do like this project. It is something that i would be building soon.

Nice temporary PCB hold-downs with the masking tape! If not leaving a residue is ever an issue you might try the blue style "painters tape" that is much less sticky and usually doesn't leave any residue when you remove it; it's great for masking off areas you want to paint, spray adhesive on, insulate temporarily, etc. Look forward to you next video in this series! 73 - Dino KL0S

Thanks, I will try that next time. I always tape down my stuff or somehow fixate it otherwise. Nothing worse than spending a lot of time putting a test jig or something else together and then ripping it all apart by mistake.

In regards to your Reference Osc PCB..you can populate the SMA connectors on both sides to give you the space to tighten the male connectors

No, few things happened that killed my motivation, but that was quite some time ago and I feel like I should pick up on it and finish the project: Let's hope I can do that, the project status is pretty much what you see in the videos plus a few drafts for the remaining boards.

Hello Eugene. No unfortunately the status of this project is pretty much what you see in the videos. A few things happened that curbed my enthusiasm somewhat with respect to putting together new youtube videos, but that has been some time ago and I probably should give it another try.
