RandumbTom reacts to Homefree's Skull and Bones. I got to say I was so into the story and the lyrics. If you're a fan of cosplay and pirates, this is very enjoyable. Another great video from this amazing group! Til next time!
Chance wrote a banger!!! Love it! That woman was an actress. Sometimes they have their wives in a video but not too often. Tim was singing so low. There’s a short live version the boys did for the Ubisoft crowd. They did have music in this one…Chance playing guitar and Austin playing mandolin. Adam was doing the drums. Love this!!! 🤩😄
This had instruments in it and was not acapella because it was for a Ubisoft game, which is out now and it's called Skull and Bones. Chance wrote the song for them and it is in the game.(He loves the sea and pirates also has an anchor tattoo and a Kraken and maybe more with that theme I don't know).
I knew you'd like Skull and Bones and some of the clips from the video is from the game. I didn't get much of a chance to play it during the closed and open beta, but the the little I did play I liked. I just haven't been able to play much on my pc, so I haven't bought it. I mean I play FFXIV and I still have to get through the most recent patch story and finish an 8 man raid. So, not having finished those over the past few months and then tossing that game into the mix just would leave it sitting. Thanks for the reaction I enjoyed it! Have a great Sunday afternoon!
Ubisoft was so impressed by a previous medley of HF (see "Sea Shanty Medley Live" - it's fantastic) that they contacted HF for a song for their new game. Chance has always loved sea shanties so, of course, he wrote it. I've always like them too and once had a book of sheet music for dozens of them. Great video - I love the story!
Great reaction! This is an original written by Chance. Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so they approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game.Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming so Chance being the seafaring member jumped at the opportunity . Chance playing guitar Austin was playing mandolin and Adam with his amazing beatboxing 7 months ago they released a Lyric video and sang a shorter version live at Ubisoft Live Premiere for the game
The young Girl had the treasure map. She found the chest of gold. Bought the boat and became the captain. When she was washing the deck she looked longly at the ship's wheel
The way I see it she joined the crew in the lowest position, using them to get where she could access the treasure. THEY didn't find the treasure, SHE did.
It’s so awesome that Chance got the ‘chance’ to write a se shanty for the game, and a title one at that. It is so beautiful and Home Free doe such a beautiful job of singing it as always!❤❤❤ Glad you enjoyed it, looking forward to more reactions!🏡🍟
When Home Free released their "Sea Shanty Medley" during the lock down and it went viral, the game company Ubisoft saw it and was so impressed by them that they reached out to Home Free and asked if they would be interested in creating an original song for their game (which was in development) Skull and Bones. Of course they jumped on that and their one and only sea shanty enthusiast, Adam Chance stepped up and wrote this master piece. Ubisoft introduced them and their song at the Summer Game Fest 2023, along with the lyric video which is what we had until now. This video incorporates elements of the game into the story depicted in the video. Well worth the wait, love it. What an epic original sea shanty by Chance and Home Free. You can tell Ubisoft contributed a lot to this video. Many have commented that it is like a mini movie including the end credits. In the credits the female pirate is referred to as Marianne and is played by Clair Glassford. The young Marianne is played by Kate Kilclough. Looking forward to what they have next for us.
Not sure if you have seen there Sea Shanty song yet. The gaming company Ubisoft approached them to make a sea shanty for their new game skull and Bones. Adam chance wrote this one. He likes pirate songs. If you have not seen The sea shanty medley go check it out brother. You're going to love it.
Subbing for more Home Free! I gotta know: are you still in Texas? I swear the apartments in your intro look so familiar! Just wondered if you ever went to Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie. Another musical act you might like: the Hound and the Fox (NOT the Fox and the Hound): they are a husband & wife duo, love to cosplay and sing sea shanties/English/Celtic/folk music. They frequently collab with Home Free (mostly Chance, but also Tim and Peter Hollens). To quote Dax: its as if a pirate and an angel had a baby... Also: have you listened to Avi Kaplan, formerly bass singer of Pentatonix? If not, check out his song Change on the Rise. That song could not be any more Viking if it tried.
Wasn't that great! We've been waiting for this official video by Home Free for awhile now. It felt like watching a movie. Home free is so talented & they can do any genre of music. Chance loves sea shanties & he wrote this song for the game "Skull & Bones". His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion.
