2021: watched all episodes in 2 weeks. Honestly I never seen anything like this in TV history which is so well researched. All actors did great especially Carrie maithison, Saul, quinn n brody. This whole thing is just amazing n very close to the real world of today.

Homeland is an excellent show. It deals with a lot of themes : paranoia, fear, post war trauma, bipolar disorders, manipulations..You can also find numerous homages to movies from the past ( Midnight Express, The Deer Hunter...). Outstanding acting and great script.

It is all about to end in a couple of days... such a memorable journey we had with Homeland over these 8 Years.. feeling overwhelmed to know that we are going to miss a Master Piece... Homeland will have a special place in my heart something which cannot be replaced by any other show for the rest of my life.. Re-watching in 2024! Claire Danes acting during Carries schizophrenia breaks is the finest acting I've ever seen, even on par with Cranston in Breaking Bad. I feel like it got the brush in 2011 because of BB and GoT were so hot, but Homeland is no doubt just as high caliber 🦄

The first three seasons were top notch, the 4th one was very good, 5-7 were complete crap, 8th one was good-ok. And don't get me wrong, I was totally ok with what happened to Lewis's character, it's just that it was boring after season 4. One of the strongest points of the show was showing the Middle East with Saul trying to understand them not just outperform them. The season in Germany, thought, bro, that was just dull. Anyway, great acting and I think Patinking's character is my fav in the show )

I'll watch this just cause Damian Lewis is so highly watchable. I have liked him in everything he has done. The "what if" factor is kind of cool too. For those who are saying that this is insulting to american troops you have a right to feel that way, but after 8 years of torture & brainwashing (with chemicals perhaps) it is not something that is totally unbelievable. I'll give it a chance.

@@DG-kq2el yes , i felt the same way as it touched to close to home for me as too watch her drink and take pills or not take pills and see her bi polarisum act up , working crazy hours and going nuts over and over again , as i too can relate as that was me for 22 years straight , it was so hard to watch for me , brought up so many bad memories and was like reflecting over and over again , but if you keep watching the story you will be glad you did , you have a great day
