Agreed. The fame of being in the Seven is literally the only thing that gives Kevin's life any meaning. And, while he knew he would be returning to an abusive situation, his previous experience with the Seven was with Homelander nominally in charge, but Stillwell calling the shots. He probably bore a lot of verbal abuse from Homelander and the others, but nothing like this, which is why he felt powerful enough to rape Annie. He clearly was hoping that he was brought back on the team because Homelander had some newfound respect for him, and that the abuse would therefore be minimized. He also thought his wife would be an ally. All very stupid assumptions, but he's not too bright.

😂😂😂😭😭😭 Oh, it's not just in your mind! Seriously, he's apparently an absolutely power-drunk sociopathic narcassist who assaults and endangers those around him in real life as well! Between seasons 2 and 3, he went to jail after he assaulted a chef at a restaurant, punching him repeatedly, and at some point, there was shattered glass involved in which Starr either smashed against someone or something or threw at full force at someone or something! For the record, every innocent person in the area is thankfully apparently fine (physically) after this incident! But yes, Starr would be in prison right now if he wasn't rich and famous. In fact, apparently at the police station, he repeatedly threatened the arresting officers by, "Do you know who I am?" It's all enough to make you wonder, is he just playing himself and that just happens to fit with such a narcissistic and reckless sociopath of a character?

Interesting fact: The male Octopus enters a functionally vegetative state once he has mated. Most of the time, he just slowly allows himself to die through either starvation or being eaten.
