The ending where the violin just starts to get distorted and fade away sounding almost like a plane crashing is such a perfect detail....sends chills down my spine
In the boys, when some scenes end with Homelander, the pitch starts to decent, if you go back you’ll notice it a lot. It really is creepy and fits homelander perfectly.
0:55 I like how along with the tense violin, there is somewhat of a heroic theme playing in the background being played in minor key to sound villany. This music is just too brilliant.
Im sorry, but 0:55 is not just meme worthy but its also actually terrifying. Like something beyond your control, something extremely dangerous, just fading in from the dark, straighting out and walking towards you, and you can't escape it.
@@pizzatimestops4544 I love to walk around my town in the night, Starlight illuminates my road and it's not completely dark yet not eye-hurting bright. If you ask me, if in my town, the night sky is really Black? Noir-, I mean, no it's beautiful and it has the perfect lighting to enjoy the night! However, I hate it when there's a Stormfront of me during the night. Anyways, I am with The Boys. We are going to the Butcher so we can buy some meat and throw a BBQ party. After that, we plan to go to the underground train station which is in The Deep beneath the soil because we will need A Train so we can go back to my town and Land on my Home. We're going to compete with The Boys on who will be the first Homelander actually! It's going to be really fun. Anyways, I invited my friend Lucent too, she's a Trans and a really nice person. She's glad to come with us! Also, I heard the bad news about England, the Queen… Maeve-, I mean, may Eve and Adam lead her into the paradise. Oh by the way it's so dark when the street lights don't work and there is no Starlight, I wish there was a Lamplighter guy who continuously checked the street lamps during the night. Holy shoot, what is it!? A jet just flew above us in Supersonic speed. That was breathtaking. Oh, I almost forgot to pick up my 8 year old nephew afterward, who dresses up in WWII uniform for some reason. Quite a Soldier Boy he truly is! I'm not a person who laughs a lot, but he just hit my Blindspot with that cosplay. Anyways, we are leaving from The Butcher so we can go to The Deep and get A Train and hopefully I will be the first Homelander! Oh! Almost forgot to buy my Mother's Milk. I gotta go! Take care you all.
It’s a very perfect piece for his character. The violins elegant nature to symbolize himself being above everyone but the chaotic feeling of each note being struck and it’s unnerving timing of each foreshadowing the inevitable destruction of everything close.
this really captures the realization homelander makes when he realized. He really can do whatever he wants. People will cheer him on no matter what he does
@@n0limits society is dumb. One smart lead, and the rest millions follow mindlessly. Homelander found the freaking confidence in himself, killing a hater in front of everybody. And everybody actually cheered him for that. Uneducated and corrupted fools are only scary when they hold the power.
The violin really makes me feel nervous. Perfectly captures the feeling of absolute chaos inside of his mind when he sees people NOT loving him. Edit : You thought i was going to be like "Aww thanks for the likes", well snort my diarrhea. Actually i was going to say that : SPOILERS ; Hearing this theme at the end of the third season while seeing people STILL WORSHIP him after he murdered a mostly innocent man, seeing him realizing he can MURDER and people will still worship him is absolutely disheartening, ESPECIALLY seeing little brian, one of the world's strongest last hopes, SMILING as he watches this. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SEASON 4!
@@macandcheese4287 bro i had this really weird experience, i was playing minecraft while watching the boys The final scene happend and at the fking drop of the violin, a fling baby zombie apeared behind me and didnt fucking atack me, i atacked it and nothing, i was in fucking survival, i had a heart atack 💀💀
@@farinafranquiIt's the two notes right before the brass that purposefully are played wrong. It's perfectly rwpresenting Homelander's mental state. Behind all that bravado is just a man child begging for attention because its what satiates him.
0:55 a harmony of three instruments: the violin that represents how unhinged he is the cello that represents how he sees himself as a hero loved by everyone and the bass trombone that represents his incredible power
tubas can get just as loud as trombones and euphoniums, its just that there's not really a lot of applications in both modern in classical music for them the blurt out noise like that
@@blu3620 Yup, bass trombone. They have a unique timbre at the lower end that's kinda raspy and crispy, love it. Also, there's no cello, those are french horns. Good interpretation nevertheless, I love it
I love how the second half is the in-universe heroic Vought theme they use to market their heroes, but it's corrupted, wrong and sinister, revealing its and Homelander's true faces.
Homelander is the most terrifying villian i have ever seen. Any moment on screen and you always wonder what is going to happen because the show made him unpredictable.
Exactly. He doesn't kill Starlight knowing damn well that she's conspiring with the boys but kills his best friend black noir because he never told him about his father who tried to kill him a few days earlier.
@@silverhando lmfao bro realistically I could’ve watched it all in a day but I forced myself to have self control . After breaking bad this is the only show to keep my attention
Pov: Homelander arrives at your house, starts telling you how you beat him at tic-tac-toe 10 years ago, and then says: "I really wanted to win back then."
What's scary about this video is that even when its just a picture of homelander, you get uneasy and disturbed by his presence, but when his eyes starts to glow red, you feel the sheer amount of fear and hopelessness, that's how horrifying he is
I really f**king hate him. It triggers me but I really wish he dies. What a pathetic person, what a great power in the wrong hands.. Maybe the main issue is education. All of the TV shows, all people who break bad, all topics, all painful pasts.. They all could be fixed with a good education system which will raise good people who won't traumatize their children and cause to people like Homelander being born. A good education system where people could learn to actually think by their own brains by theirselves. Otherwise the unfunny happens; corrupt, sociopath, and the pathetic people hold the great power. And it still happens in real life. We're under control of corrupt individuals. They are pretty people pathetic without the power they hold, they are nothing.
One of the things I find most deviously evil about Homelander is no matter what the public thinks of him, he always wins. Like he said, he would be perfectly fine with the public loving him and worshipping him as a god, but if the world ever does see him for what he is, he would be perfectly content with becoming the evil monster that everyone would *fear.*
@@JJ_Jonahand impregnate their daughters, Moms, Wife’s, making supe Baby’s to help Kill the oppressed. Than Covering up to make them look like the villain after their death. Homelander doesn’t just win physically but also Mentally.
Homelander really captures the sociopathy we're all capable of, and how, given the right circumstances, we can ALL become willfully vile people. He's such an unfortunately relatable character, because he's the man we strive not to be.
The only thing both of them have in common, is they believe they deserve empires. But it was Walt who took a step back and redeemed himself to anti-hero level.
“It wasn’t the fact you won..but the fact everyone cheered for you and called you the “fastest kid in school”..and then everyone called me..John the slowpoke..and you don’t remember do you?
This piece is so good and so timeless it really feels like it's part of a grander piece hundreds of years old. I wonder what might have inspired the writer.
Besides it’s association with a TV show this is such a beautifully composed piece perfectly conveying the madness of the character it’s supposed to embody
I love the chaos and unpredictability to the violin and how it goes down in the pitch and tempo showing his slow decent into complete madness and how a fan-fair begins near the middle, indicating to the audience how he’s not just the violin. He’s more than that. So much more. He’s not just the solo instrument. He’s the whole orchestra and he wants us to know it
A lonely boy who never had the chance to forge his own destiny. This sounds just like what homelander is, his emotions are all mixed up and confused yet he manages to live with it.
I know this song is often used in a more meme-y way nowadays but, even as someone who hasn’t seen the show I find this music to be haunting and yet, rather beautiful.
The chaotic shrill and somewhat small violin solo = the ravaged mess of an inner child Overlays The bombastic horns and the horror violin 1:13 - Homelander's internal dream of bombastic worship and terror, and what horror he will wrought with dream achieved of that broken inner child, that returns with the lonely struggling violin(an instrument that's small sensitive and higher pitched, quite literally high-strung- not what Homelander would like to be associated with) Left only as the sad struggling chaotic child withering to an ugly mess
Yeah man, i'm too tired of seeing those deep-fake videos of Homelander doing war-crimes. Like how? He's such a swell guy. What would America, what would we do without him? He's not like the rest of us, he doesn't make mistakes & he's the real hero Also, can't blame a guy for falling in love with 2 wrong women. It just happens
@@theceoofeggmansempire5214 thanks for confirming that those videos were deep-fake. I'm thinking the same thing too. That Starlight girl and her fans really can't see Homelander's greatness.
@@cygnusxar Yeah man. Also i hope that Homelander's son is going to be even more better hero than Homelander. Why all these vigilantes want so much controversy? Not like our noble super heroes killed their loved ones or something. They are just pure evil, esspecially that Billy guy
@@albertdutzman8292 soldier boy’s a piece of shit but I wouldn’t say he’s outright evil. Despite abusing his teammates he at least still thought of them as his family and cared about them, albeit in a very weird way. Homelander is nothing good, he hates his team, kills for fun, and thinks he’s a god
autoplay gave me this masterpiece as i was battling the most soul crushingly difficult to push out shit ive ever faced. luckily for me fortune favored the bold as my final push parted me from this brown menace that plagued my body
Absolutely love this, the violin being a little chaotic like him and it kinda gives the upper class vibes that he can do whatever the fuck he wants because of power and when the violin shifts down kinda like his mood when when he gets mad
This song perfectly portrays Homelander First section, eerie and ominous overpowering, unsettling. Perfectly portraying Homelander in the first season, as he and the country see him as god. Second part, sends a message of dread and panic, showing how he is intimidated and is starting to let things slip. He is starting to lose control over what he has and worried that he might fall of his pedestule. Third part, the rest of the band joins in to send a message that Homelander is powerful. The public accepts murder and will support him nomatter what he does. He has full control of Vought and social media. Nothing can stand in his path and he is completely different from the first season. He starts out thinking he is god, and then becomes him. The contrast between the heroic trombone and the unsettling and evil basses/drums truely embody the character that homelander is.
This theme perfectly encapsulates Homelander. This literally brought me to tears at the end. Christopher Lennertz is an absolute genius, and I love this. Just absolutely phenomenal👏👏👏👏.
