Homeless in Hawaii: Frank the Fisherman 

Part one of my conversation with Frank, a fisherman originally from Chicago.
I first crossed paths with Frank one evening before mass in Waikiki. I told him about how I make videos to share people’s stories. Like most, he was reluctant but agreed eventually. I’m glad he did!
Some haole homeless I talk to seem to have realized they made a mistake coming to Oahu, and express a desire to return to the mainland. Frank does not fall into this category.
I admire Frank’s positive attitude towards life, and his drive to keep fighting the everyday struggle. I wish many blessings on him!
