Exactly!!! This is why I don’t help the homeless. I have 2 good friends I grew up with they’re now a alcoholics 1 friend pops up from time to time to ask for money or for a place to stay for a few days when people started telling him no he started sleeping in the streets, he refused to go to a shelter or a halfway home because they don’t allow drinking at the facility he rather sleep on the street and ask for change then get help. Friend number 2 comes from a rich family they told him to get into a program get clean stay clean for 6 months to a year and they’ll get him a condo and pay the rent for a year and buy him a bmw and a job at his dads law office, long story short he’s on the streets begging for change abandoned his daughter and doesn’t care about anything but getting drunk and high

Actually the actors who work hard dont do it to seek attention. they sort of have to do it because its just in them as deep passion. Media advertises them and gossips about them and this makes them seem narcissistic. LA if full of people who want to be actors out of narcissism but that doesnt work out so they go become social media influencers instead. You should go after the influencers. they are the talentless opinionated weirdos making everything about themselves for attentions.

@13_13k
@13_13k 3 года назад
Evangelina Valero ---- the film and tv stars don't live in Hollywood, and most of the film and television studios are not in Hollywood, there are some but, the "stars" mostly only care about themselves and even though they talk a good game about being woke, and how sad it is to see all the homeless, while they are doing interviews, or on talk shows, they don't want to help or even look at them on the streets. They drive right by like everyone else does. I'm guilty. I can't afford to give money to every person on every corner holding a sign. But what I do is this. There is a busy Blvd in the neighborhood I grew up in next to LAX airport that all the limos and taxis use to get from the freeway to the airport, it's a shortcut. And the street runs through a residential section and just the backyard back side fences face the Blvd and the City rarely takes care of the overgrown trees on the sidewalks, city property not the homeowners, and the weeds and grass get very tall. A few months ago I noticed someone had been cleaning up all the weeds and trees etc... and there were a dozen garbage bags full. And a few days later there is another small section cleared and the work was progressively moving along the mile or so length of the street. One day about a week later I saw that it was one, white guy, in his 30s or maybe 40s working his ass off and he had put up a sign that I never saw before and it said something like " I'm clearing the overgrowth the city won't do, I'm homeless please donate if you can". I drove around the block, passed the house I grew up in and came back around onto the Blvd and I pulled up, rolled down my window and told him I grew up just on the other side of the street and I see how hard you are working and the street looks so much better and thanked him for doing that work. He thanked me and said he just wanted to have the street look good because so many people drive down here going to or coming from the airport and its such a nice neighborhood, (million dollar homes) that it was a shame the city doesn't care. I had him come closer to my car and I handed him a $100.00 bill and told him I appreciate what he's doing and thanks, take this money, I know it isn't a lot but it's what I can afford right now. I'll give you more in a couple days. He was stoked. He thanked me and said God Bless You. And he went back to work and I gave him more a couple days later. Those are the people who deserve the help and need it. Most of the homeless in this city are lazy losers who don't want to work. Some have mental illnesses, and drug use is rampant, but even drug users can hold jobs, I know firsthand. It's just easier to be a sidewalk camper than to get a job. And when the city doesn't enforce any laws or offers any alternative, people are going to camp for free and be criminals, or beggers, or collect cans and plastic bottles. It used to be homeless people would live for a month or two in hiding and then they would get themselves arrested for anything they can so they would get locked up for 90 or 120 days or 6 months for the free food and bed and safety of jail where its warm and dry. But cops and city lawyers and judges don't do that anymore. They want the paying customer in jail so they make a profit. The homeless cause a loss of money for the system because they aren't paying fines, or paying to go to classes after release, and paying for lawyers etc... It's really a terrible tragedy brought on by bad government and greed of the cities and counties

@@mikemiller659 so I'm curious how does someone who is homeless get a job? Say your a hiring manager are you going to hire someone who can't shower, can't be called, and more than likely doesn't have transportation? Sure you can give them methadone and a place to stay but that isn't going to fix all their problems. You also can't force someone to hire them. Have you ever been in hiring? You make it out like they are choosing to just be homeless when 90% of the time thats not the case. How many homeless people have you actually stopped and talked to? Or listen to their story? Judging by you thinking methadone and a place to stay will fix their problems I'm going to say 0 to none

I lived across from the chinese theater for 3 years. It definitely changed a lot during covid. I would walk my dog down the middle of hollywood blvd around 3am and it was much cleaner and safer before covid hit. During covid they stopped power washing the walk of fame and they got hit with a massive influx of homeless. Many were not mentally stable and it became a very dangerous and dirty place. I would only walk my dog during daytime after that and I was still being followed and harassed. During covid, there was no tourists, therefore there was less money handouts as well as less food in the trash cans. The homeless began to get more bold and aggressive. Constant attacks out front and neighbors began carrying knives. Knives became very commonplace in the community. After 6 months into the pandemic and seeing how drastic things changed, I got the hell out of there. I still miss living there from time to time. A lot of great history to embrace every time you walk out your door. Great video! Thank you for showing everyone what its really been like. Keep it up.

He is exploiting the homeless people of Hollywood to increase his subscription and "likes". I rebuke you German in Venice. This is why you must be born again in order to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because with a Heart Like Yours, you won't be able to. You will suffer in hell . The Bible, the number one selling book in the world, tells us of this. I don't have anything against you, but you need to change your ways German. People do not meet by coincidence,. And so as it is written "MATTHEW 25:31-40 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, "I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (NIV)

Prayer isn't going to get them what they need. Prayer does nothing, it's essentially a wish on a falling star. Prayer is for people that are giving their power to another, when they believe they have no any power over it. If you really want to help in Los Angeles, take them into your home and help them. Feed them. Bathe them. Give them warmth. Help them find the way out. If you cannot do that for your fellow human in your community, then you are no better than a face on a screen thousands of miles away, saying the same exact thing. Prayer is for the weak, action is for the strong.

I remember when i was homeless in St Paul Minnesota. There was this one time I was sitting in the grass across the streets from the shelter and this younger guy came up to me . Asked if he could sit with me. At first I was thinking he wanted to preach to me but he just sat down and talked with me. He seemed to want to understand homeless people better. If I remember correctly he gave me a bagged meal and another bag with different hygiene supplies. Even a new pair of socks. It might seem like a simple act but I still remember that guy and his kind act. Not only did he give me a little bit of supplies to help me survive. He sat and talked with me for about 30 minutes. It's crazy how sub human people can make the homeless feel. So it was nice to be seen as someone that mattered. Sometimes just talking with a person can cheer them up. I was able to get a RV and get off the streets. Sometimes people slip threw the system that is supposed to help people that get hurt. Sometimes all of our sacrifices feel forgotten about. So it's nice to feel noticed and that I mattered even though I was on hard times.

The top 1% made good choices and decided to acquire wealth instead of squandering what they have. Make no mistake rich people can turn poor in a moments notice with bad financial decisions. I used to live in the Hollywood area for several years and these homeless people choose to stay homeless and panhandle and do drugs rather than get assistance. I worked three jobs and couldn’t afford much more than my rent. I had to go to a food bank to get assistance with food. There were about .00001 percent of the total homeless people in the area there getting help. There are tons of resources available in Los Angeles for homeless to shower, get food and jobs but they would rather be bums. It’s a shame. Drugs are so easily available to them they would rather steal a bike for some meth than go get a job. Covid has really hurt the homeless business because every homeless person just on Hollywood blvd makes anywhere from 200 to 1000 dollars a day. Thousands of people give these people one dollar each a day and make more than some attorneys in the area. They have no ambition and need to be forced into a rehab program for drugs to get help.

@Thornbird 67 I agree! I felt vp debate was a joke for THIS EXACT REASON!! Debate could've been on this issue alone? The state of California wasn't mentioned?? Its spreading fast- Seattle- to Portland! Its absolutely revolting how we are being pushed into compliance of witnessing people on streets dying in front of us- & doing nothing!!! The city of Los Angeles believes if port o potties were offered that homeless would just sleep in them or shoot up in them- so its better in their minds - that we have TYPHOID in our streets!!! Escape from LA - if at all possible- get out while you can!! I pray God will bless us with answers/solutions but if they are to be found its going to be because we put AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST!! We are going the opposite way! When a person who's entered our country illegally gets nearly twice the amount of stimulus funds as an American citizen! And im ALL for immigration- so don't even go there! My fathers parents immigrated LEGALLY- and if I wanted to move to Europe I'd be expected to do it LEGALLY as well!! Theres no debate here!! This isn't debatable!! The debate in fact, i believe, is a NOT SO GRAND ILLUSION!! Shout out to German in Venice!!! I visited Venice Beach with one of my best friends in 2017. I found a beautiful city there & had SUCH A BLAST WITH MY FRIEND/SISTER! With the plane ticket cost of only $79 each way- id planned to return soon with my husband & son.. But unfortunately caught a case of sepsis blood infection & nearly died. By the time id recovered in 2018 & felt strong enough to return & finally do this trip with my family- i found it was too late! The homeless issue & crime in Venice Beach had built & mounted quickly!! Alarmingly fast!!! The trip never happened- we went off to explore Arizona instead! I pray for our homeless brothers & sisters!! If you think it couldn't happen to you- think again!! But just for now- ill watch whats happening in LA & Venice Beach via this amazing channel that has shown SO MUCH HEART & Soul!! Love to you brother!! ♥️🙏
