The sad fact is the 6:00 news blames these people living on the sidewalks instead of blaming the Chinese who put them all there. This is what makes me puke just thinking of the word Canada.
You can give them food, give them syringes, give them a safe supply of drugs, give them shelters, but what they need is mostly the opposite. They need a job, they need to be productive, they need to get off drugs and look to themselves (starting with a recovery program), not to handouts. Endless handouts are the problem, not the solution, if there's no path or opportunity to move away from the handouts.
This government's solution to everything is handouts which do not help. Free drugs is insane. Even working people can barely keep it together and it's getting worse every day.
It'll happen. Rising taxes for welfare programs will force out the productive members of the city. Real estate prices and tax receipts will crash. A politician will get elected promising to take a hardline approach to the degenerates plaguing the city. They'll clean themselves up or move along to another safe haven. The city will clean itself up and in 20-30 years they'll get soft on drugs once again, and the cycle will continue.
People can work as cleaners for streets and buildings to get paid by property owners and merchants in trouble area. If they do not rely on handouts, there is always work that people will appreciate and pay.
Everyone should have a home, regardless of their situation, you should be sending these videos to everyone, government officials, Trudeau, everyone until they are tired of seeing it and do something about it. I appreciate your videos it certainly opened my eyes, don’t stop! God bless you!
@@truthadvocacy those people were all in s***** apartments that you guys complained about so they tore them down the other half of those people were in the mental institutions that you said you were treating people bad to you tore those down what did you expect was going to happen they did exactly what was asked everybody complained enough made things happen and that's the results
In Canada under Trudeau they just encourage you to go to the suicide pods to die so you're not wasting public resources. Godless Canada is an evil country
Last time I was in Vancouver was about 7 years ago. A few friends and I walked out of the No. 5 Orange and this little old lady frail as ever about 80 pounds with a walker bee lined straight for me and asked in a somewhat surprisingly sweet voice "hi dearie do you have 5 bucks for smokes?" I looked her over thinking that she looked near death and a slight breeze or a coughing fit might kill her and probably the last person on the planet that needed a smoke. I had no cash on me and said that I had nothing and she instantly snapped and called me all sorts of nasty things and spun towards another buddy of mine and instantly switched back to her sweet voice to try to get 5 hucks out of him. It was shocking to me to see someone so close to death running such a begging scheme as this.
Quit complaining Vancouver... You're one of the richest cities in the world. Surely you can use your pocket change to send the homeless people to Prince George, B.C. where it is Homeless Paradise and far from the national spotlight.
@@truthadvocacy This is true. Wages don't match the cost of living in Vancouver for most people. It's probably why some leave, because they can actually afford to live somewhere else in Canada and buy a property that is larger than a shoebox. They may have to freeze their arse off, but hey ho!😂👍
This situation is so sad, my question is how did most of them became homeless, is it because of drugs addiction or Vancouver economics availabilities??
Dtes has always been problematic but the housing costs in bc coupled with it being Canada's most friendly climate most likely has led to it being the worst area of the country.
If you are talking about Opioids then yes, that's probably how it started, through being in physical pain, then addicted to the pain killers, etc. There's a story for everyone. Who's responsible? Doctors & Government. And government would rather send billions of dollars to Ukraine to literally kill massive amounts of people than help their own. Sickening.
house the sick and do not let them run around destroying public safety and enjoyment, and slowly the well will work to welcome people back to the neighbourhood to give jobs for them shops will be opened to employ them..
We need to work together to take back our territory, so we can enjoy shopping and walking with public enjoyment of public street. We must demand our government to house and treat the sick and give back our territory to enjoy beautiful Vancouver B.C. Canada.
Self-indulgent Western culture that sees shopping as a civic duty is what caused this problem in the first place. If you tell people to relax, to live in the moment, not repress and ignore their needs but to indulge them, they won't just use more nice things from the store. They'll also shamelessly take up more space on the streets. What really keeps people away from this life is work and family life.
The "Taliban", meaning the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has been dealing with drug addiction in Kabul, which was left to grow by the previous corrupt puppet regime, as the US itself is dealing with its own drug problem, by letting it grow to the tune of 100,000 deaths per year.
Omg. This is very appalling😭😔. These guys are old enough to think of what choice to make for a better life and yet they succumed to drug addiction that led to homelessness..very sad. I dont’t know how we become a role model to the next generation.... tsk tsk....
The majority of drug overdoses have happened when people are using alone, so I suppose by default some lives have been saved. These people would have been using drugs anyways. The main problem with this approach is the fact that there is not enough treatment beds
What I see here is a lot of drug addiction as well as people with disabilities and also elderly trying to fend for themselves , also quite possibly some DV people . Unemployment leads to homelessness and the high cost of rentals adds to the problem . Covid factors into all this too of course since it began and now the world is experiencing high inflation to varying degrees . This picture is not unique to Vancouver or Canada for that matter .
Are these people selling stuff to the homeless people that are hooked on drugs,if so where do these homeless ones get their money from to buy this stuff and why do the homeless people need this stuff? I have seen people that are hooked on drugs go dumpster diving and collect junk they can't seem to get enough junk, well what we call junk.
Some of it is stolen.... If your bike gets stolen in Vancouver it's likely being sold or chopped up into a parts bike by some of the more enterprising in the DTES.
I saw another video about Vancouver, not only homeless but drug crazed zombies people. In the Philippines, Ive never seen such terrible zombie-like homeless individuals.
The serious addiction problem may destroy the city, especially in San Francisco. The country should build more medical facilities to force the addicts to get away from drugs. The country has the responsibility to solve the problems.
@@DoloresMitchell I've seen a lot of peoples on a lot of drugs and I've never seen anyone crouching like that. Damn... What the hell are they taking... Geez...
Addiction is crazy, man. Like one of humanity’s biggest problems and we have zero solution or answers- here, we know these things break your brain, sorry, we have NO TREATMENT. These poor people! they can’t even put their pipes down, they have to walk holding them. They can’t stop. We have to figure out how to solve this ffs.
Vancouver anda a viver um inferno porque esse cidade tambem Tem pessoas que sejam em situaçaos mau extremos , absolutamente ha - de ajudar nos mesmos .
I don't understand why you only walk around and film them. Do you ever talk to any of them? I agree that this problem is out of control. But they are still human beings. I'm not a addict but lost my hubby to addiction plus helped my son's get clean. I just think talking to people and finding out about their story is how I'd interact. To everyone I see giving food/clothing or anything else, I'd like to say THANK YOU. Vancouver is mild compared to Kensington PA. Extremely sad. Things have to change soon 🙏🏻. ANY ADDICT READING THESE, KNOW THAT YOUR LOVED AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TOO LIFE. AND ONLY YOU CAN WRITE YOUR OWN STORY. SENDING TON'S OF PRAYERS Is there a channel that has someone that interacts with these people?
