Honestly, I never comment on videos like this...... but this is the best/easiest recipe! At first as I was watching I was like “oh no this looks like a disaster”... beating the egg with the dough hook.... the uneven bun sizes..... but I totally underestimated her.... this lady knows what she’s doing!!! After serving a bun to my boyfriend he replied “you should write this recipe down”... enough said. This is forever my go to recipe!! Thank you, bread queen!
I simply love how you do not edit out your mistakes. For example forgetting the butter, You are so real and so refreshing to watch on here. Thank you for sharing I sure hope I can do this ,those look amazing
I just made these. Every batch of buns or bread I've ever tried we're dense and dry. These were the first buns that have ever turned out for me. They are wonderful!!!!! Soft and fluffy and delicious!
So many different recipes out there to make bread. And most of us don't even think about how we have most of the ingredients in our cupboard & refrig to make our own. Once you start making your own bread you never go back to store bought. I like to use the Amish bread recipe to make my loafs and buns.
I know this is an older recipe for you...but I tried these today for my pulled pork recipe and I gotta tell you...these rolls were so much better than my pulled pork! I thank you from the bottom of heart for this recipe! You ROCK girl!!!
Husband is now sold on these after just having them for dinner. He said that they don't fall apart like store-bought buns either. We have a winner. Thanks, Noreen!
Making these tonight for our pulled pork. Thank you! I just started making all my food from scratch and your videos and the kneady homesteaders have been an amazing help!!!
I am so happy & satisfied with the outcome of my buns. I just finished baking my 1st tray... 2 more to go. Gonna have these buns for breakfast tomorrow. By the way I did a mini size burger bun instead of the normal size. Thank you Noreen for sharing the knowledge. May God bless you & family
made the buns today.....a super duper hit...thank you so much:) I used greased mason jar lid metal rings to shape the buns in the oven ...so they do not expand too much while baking....worked out great:)
I follow you and your recipes often.. this is my go to recipe for bread, pan buns, hamburger and hot dog buns, subs, hogie buns.. Such a beautiful dough.. and you explain so well. Thanks kindly, much appreciated.😋
Yup, I'll be making this!! LOVE the recipe!! I make bread a few times a week. When I was ill my hubby bought an artisan bread, ate 2 slices with dinner and said he never wanted to buy bread again. lol Nothing better than homemade bread. Thanks, Noreen.
These were terrific. Nice and soft. I've only ever made buns twice (another recipe) and they were awful. As a result I had not tried making them again for years. Glad I found your video. We really loved these. I used organic unbleached flour and substituted 1/2 cup of organic wheat flour. WOW! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this recipe 😊. The buns are beautiful pillows of goodness. I have shared the recipe with my daughter's and now it is their favorite and their families. Thanks again.
Made these today and they are a hit. I have 5 boys and 4 eat like teenagers. I made 4 a little smaller for the younger boys. Way better than store bought. Thanks Noreen I love your channel..
Don't normally comment on these things but your recipe and method is just great. The crust and crumb are excellent if one follows directions. I extended the 2nd rise to about 2 hours and they came out fine. used 2.5 oz per and the size was perfect. Made some into hot dog rolls and they were great as well. Highly recommend this recipe.
Thanks so much for posting this! I made these today and they are great. I eat vegan so i substituted the egg with a ground flaxseed "egg" and used dairy-free butter and still turned out great!
I made these and added the sesame seeds after I brushed butter on the buns and when they had cooled every time you touched the bun the seeds fell right off so I would recommend using the egg wash (I use one egg with 1 tb of milk) if you want to add sesame seeds to Noreen's hamburger buns. Love the recipe and Noreen's videos!
Oh my goodness.. talk about an outstanding recipe... Made several batches of dough.. and now have frozen burger buns, hot dog buns, and mini slider buns.. These are to easy to make, freeze and taste wonderful.. thanks.. Noreen.. another great recipe.. :D
Hi Noreen! I can't wait to try these. I was just wondering, if I were to use whole wheat flour, would the rest of the ingredients stay the same? Thanks so much!
Hi, Noreen-I just want to thank you for sharing your recipes and knowledge. I started "homesteading" a few months ago and just started bread making and was terrified! I am no longer buying my breads from the store and exclusively use all your recipes. They are all safe in my homesteading binder for me to pass down to my girls. Ibam making the hamburger buns today and just checked your video to make sure I was on the right track. My husband made a comment, "wouldn't it be easier to just buy buns?" I said, "NO! Like Noreen says, "I know what is in them and do not have to spend gas money to go get them." We live in Amish country so it is a little ways to go get anything. Since I am a full-time homemaker, I make the time now to do everything from scratch. Love you and your channel. It has changed my life. Merry Christmas!
Wow. I just made these and they turned out awesome! The only difference was that I used my bread machine on the dough cycle to knead them. This is the first bread I've ever made that didn't turn out like Ellie May's. Thank you and please keep these awesome videos coming. I've learned so much.
AWESOME! So glad these worked out for you. I love getting feedback from people who are successful after having trouble in the past. It gives me motivation to keep on going and helping out where I can! Thanks so much for letting me know! Enjoy your rolls!
I love baking and these buns will be the VERY NEXT on my list. I would like you to know that you are so far and I've watched A LOT of videos my favorite person to watch. The volume is right you say what has to be said and what is pertinate to the subject, you don't ramble on and on about the same thing as I have heard in others. I just REALLY, Sincerely like to watch your very interesting and informative and great videos... Thank you for doing such a wonderful job.
Thank you for making this. I can't wait to try it. I love to watch you make bread. It is so beautiful to see that dough come out of your Kitchen Aid and then watching the end result. Have a great week!
I am literally crying right now. I just made your rolls and they came out gorgeous! This is the first recipe I have ever been able to make that came out. I cannot wait for my family to get home and eat our burgers on these rolls that I just lovingly prepared for them. I cannot tell you how much I love your channel and love how real you make your recipes. Thank you so much!
All I can say is WOW! What a bun/dinner roll recipe. I have made many dough recipes and I have a couple of favorites (for buns and dinner rolls, but...FROM NOW ON THIS IS MY GO TOO! These are so very moist and soft. I made these for the first time and took them to a family reunion and they loved them, just as I did. Today I made two balls of this dough and froze one for tomorrow when I will thaw and let rise to make cinnamon rolls. I forgot to mention that I used milk vs water (as I always do in any bread recipe except my no knead)Yes, anytime I want to make anything that requires bread dough THIS IS IT!!!!! I just cannot say enough about how happy I am with this wonderful recipe. Thank you, Noreen, for sharing because I no longer need to look any further :) :) :)
Beautiful recipe!!! Thank you! Straight to it, no time wasted. Gorgeous 🙂😀😍 if I may, I suggest the recipe on the screen? I’m not great at baking, so that helps me 🤭 thank you! 🙌🏼
They look delicious! My question is how do I freeze them for future use? In a Ziploc or a storage container? Do they freeze well? There's only two of us here and we can't, or shouldn't eat all twelve in a few days. Thank you so much!
I made these today and they turned out beautiful! I needed to let them brown just a bit longer I think, but will know for next time. Thank you for such an easy recipe to follow. This is the first time I've ever made hamburger buns :)
it's just the hubby and I now - so this kind baking I love to do and take as a gift when I'm just gonna pop in on somebody for a visit -- I pick up a few clear cake domes/covers from the local food store and put the bake goods in and wrap with a bow and a thinking of you card :)
I just needed to let you know, that ever since you posted this recipe, I have used this for my hamburger and hot dog buns (yes, I used your hot dog bun method too) and I get rave reviews from my friends and family. My daughter, who is 9, loves them also, and decided she wanted to make them for the county fair. She entered them, giving the credit to you for the recipe, and ended up with a purple ribbon. We were all thrilled. Thank you for this recipe. I like knowing what my family is eating and it is way more tasty than those store bought ones!
Hey there! Thank you for the recipe! I made bread the other day and forgot to add the yeast , thank God I looked over and seen the yeast in the cup of water. I added it and continued mixing in the flour. Turned out great! I was distracted by a teenager, thats why I forgot..lol
I am in the process of making these now.. they are in the oven to rise for the last time.. I hope mine comes out as good as yours.. They look awesome.. and amazing.. Can't wait to try them and taste them.. we are having pulled pork sandwiches if this turns out right.. so far so good. thanks for the recipe leigh
