Hi I have a question: why you would the dog need this vegetables? I understand the liver, code, the meat, even the coconut oil but I don't understand why would a dog need vegetables? if you can answer ill be very grateful

And beef liver is very very high in vitamin d, a and copper and is considered the most highest form of liver and just eating 1 ounze of liver will exceed your vitamin a, d and copper requirements of you do want to use a great amount of liver than use can use less nutrient dense liver from animals like chicken, rabbit or turkey
I had 2 Lhasa Apso and did homemade food at some times for them. Mine included a children's vitamin as well. You might want to make sure he is getting enough of that in the dry food or add one.
I haven't talk to the vet yet what vitamins i can add on the homemade meal but instead he told me to just make sure it's mixed with kibble so he is getting all the nutrients needed
I totally started making my beagle puppy homemade food, I also use the same dry food. I now feel better I am doing it right. Lol. Still unsure how much to feed her total a day though. I just got the slow feeder dish, that was best purchase ever. She eats so freaking fast. Lol
Thank you so much for this video! My shih tzu is known to have lots of allergies and I've been adjusting her diet for awhile now and it's so hard to figure out what else that she's allergic too. I'll definitely try this recipe. My shih tzu loves chicken but she's allergic to chicken. 😭
Is it recommended to start home cooked food for shihtzu from 8 weeks old? Can we also give kibbles in between ? Mix of home food recepie and kibbles on different days?
I don't cook my food for my dog in anything that says nonstick. Not safe for humans or animals. Will try your recipe. I'm sure my munchkin will love it.
Cute! But that food has been cooked so long no nutrients is left. I use to do that and my dogs still got sick because I cooked all the nutrients out of their food. I now feed raw and half cooked meat bone and origins, and raw milks and vegetables...
@@olivegrove-gl3tw yeah it smells horrible! Even realized how bad my dog food is too. I stopped feeding them store bought food and started feeding them homemade raw stopped all the vet bills immediately because they are much healthier now.

We started doing this with chase when he was about 4months old. When he was 3months old we used to buy ready made wet dog food but we realized that making our own is more affordable and healthier option. The most common veg we put are, sweet potato, carrots, peas, kale, squash, green beans, etc. We've tried alot of different veggies and protein so he won't get tired of his food

I feed chase twice a day... for portioning, i follow the kibble's packaging daily recommended feeding and then i just add a little of the wet food i make. Chase wouldn't eat plain kibble
But wouldn't the flour be bad for dogs? I notice it is in a lot of dog treats and in dog foods you buy in stores...not natural at all...I'm looking for something without this ingredient....
Use a water bowl. And change the water often. Make the dog happier. Please change the water for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I hope you and your dog will be happy.
