Nice build. Love the recycling. That 14.6 volts is boiling your battery. Ford always did that and you could smell the sulfur of the sulfuric acid around them. A GM style 100 amp single wire would be great for what you are doing.

Thanks. I’m running an LT 15 go just for my small furniture business, but I’ve been pondering building an edger for myself since now I just dry everything and then edge it in the shop a year later which is more work and takes up more space . I’m not in a Lumber business so I don’t know if a unit like yours would be too much or not for me but it’s my sparking right now so thanks again

Good job my friend, I can tell you put a lot of time and effort in that edger. Most people are too lazy to even think about building that machine. Thanks for the demonstration, it looks and sounds like a professional grade machine.

Very, very good job and design on that Edger. Loved the switches being turned on at start up, almost like getting ready to fire up a jet engine before take off.

Very nice to see and can see how this could be expanded into a gang saw if you had a lot of orders for the same sized boards. Mark Galicic was just talking about you building this edger on a video so wanted to see how you did it.

One more blade would be great. Check out 4” bailer belting to wrap your drive rollers. I believe there is an aggressive finish on one side that will grab the wood.

Awesome little unit. Been designing something like this in my head but you gave me a few ideas. What did you use for an arbor and for the linear bearings on the fence?
@realsouthernexposure3957
@realsouthernexposure3957 3 года назад
Linear bearings came off a miter saw I found at a garage sale for $10. The arbor I turned it down on my lathe. Thanks for the complement, I hope it helps you out man.

Very nice machine, about how many hours did it take to build?

I love the way everything is self contained, that could easily be made portable. I am surprised the windshield wiper motor has enough snoose to pull the boards, how thick of boards will it pull? 14 inch blade should be able to cut around 5 inches?
@realsouthernexposure3957
@realsouthernexposure3957 3 года назад
the throat of the saw will only cut 2 3/4" by 13 boards i didnt want to go any bigger because i didnt think the wiper motors would hold any more than that with the brass gears on the inside gear box, the 14 HP engine has no problems with the torque from the blade.
@psgflier
@psgflier 3 года назад
@@realsouthernexposure3957 That makes sense, most of my flitches are either 1x or 2x. I bet that 14hp motor has no problem running that blade, what is the ratio between the motor and the saw arbor?

Is there any chance you could provide a link to the sawblade on Amazon? perhaps a list of all the items you purchased from Amazon for this project in the description? I dont know if you have an affiliate store on Amazon, but it would likely bring in extra revenue for your channel.
