This homemade bait launcher is unbelievable. It blasts bait 150 yards with no problem. Those monster fish that like to stay in the deep water will be able to be reached now. My Uncle built a machine like this for chucking pumpkins. They use an old army truck and have the barrel mounted to it and use a big propane tank to fill up the air. This time of the year October he is pretty busy with it. They have an old car they shoot the pumpkins at.

Ha I remember in the early 80s in Australia I saw an article in a fishing mag on a contraption called "The Beach Bazooka" Im a bit shady on the details cause I was only young . Pretty sure it shot a black capsule out that carried the rig and bait somehow . But freezing those tubes is a stroke of genius

great video my guy! if u build the 3" the whole way around and reduce straight itll work better as the pressure isnt reduced immediately to 1.5" and then has to take turns. just a tip

water based silicone in the pvc prior to freezing might help it come out without fumbling bro. it will breakdown once ice melts and leave no trace on bait itself. nice design. glad you know how to fish a little. and the application is spot on. launcher is innovative and well engineered. good work out too. 702 9th island yeah you!!!

What about just a thin coating of vegetable oil on the inside of the pipe? It would be a neutral oil and thaw quickly to allow for release

Cool contraption to use on small gear(rods weight etc), 14ft rod 7oz lead and a good bait and I’ll do 100yds...with a run up not so accurate but it’ll get there hahaha. Good effort though

Easy to make all PVC pipe... that is a screw driver on a T handle value to make it launch... the pipe he is pumping up may be 3 inch an reduced down to about 2 inch... got it nice an thanks

Try lining the pvc pipe with silicone spray or petroleum Jelly so it slips out easier.

Wrap that think with duct tape a lot of it. This will protect you from getting injured from PVC fragments if you over pressurize it

A homemade potato cannon would do the same thing. One could be easily modified to use compressed air if you wanted. That's essentially all that this is.
