Homemade Giant Walk the Dog Lure. 

Welcome to our workshop, where we're embarking on an epic woodworking adventure to create an amazing "Giant Walk the Dog" fishing lure! In this video, we delve into the intricate process of crafting this lure from scratch.
I show how to carve the shape by hand, insert a through wire to create a stronger hold for the hooks and to put less strain on the wood. I also present the correct weight and placement of the led to allow for the head to poke out the water, allowing for a wider and better action. From carving to painting I show the tedious process of painting the lure making it that little bit more enticing for those giant fish. I show how to coat it in clear coat to allow an amazing finish. with the foil to reflect light and to add extra colour to the lure.
This lure should be good for the bigger giant’s such as trevally, mackerel and trout.
