So good to see you still on RU-vid. I've been following you for years - cobbling together various ingenious items. Thank you for showing the world your innovations and ideas!
How can we purchase a power bank with a Handcrank in the event that Solar power from sunshine is not available? Handcrank power banks looks like they’re only giving us 60 to 120 W. So what’s another good way to establish power or electricity when you run out of fuel and the batteries die and there’s a black out from the sun? Fire?
if you have a river or running stream near you, you can make a mini hydroelectric dam to generate electricity. Or if you have a source of water you can make a steam engine that would spin a turbine and create energy. Would take a fair bit of know-how about steam engines and general ingenuity to be able to pull that off
Absolutely great. I liked the way you repurposed a computer case. Very original, and the bike gears too. I made my own generator as well but no gears, less noise. I posted it on youtube as well. The creativity is great with your creation. Keep up the good work.
Hello, could you tell me in which order are your parts connected? such as live from the motor - diode - ect? I'm building one similar to yours in the video, but i'm interested in how it's all connected. Thanks
@@kurtscottage Yeah, thanks, I do, I like working with batteries and technical. Yeah, it would be good to make a lot of power, but there's multiple arms that also need attention.
If you want to make a very efficient one reuse the motors from the hoverboard scooters as 3 phase generators need 6 diodes per each and with modest cranking they can make 12V at 1.5 to 2A. Store in a capacitor and feed a 12V to 5V converter. Can generate much more power using an exercize bike as the rotation source. One i built a while ago uses a washing machine drum motor that feeds a 3 ohase bridge, a couple large electrolytics that feeds an actual switch mode PS battery charger/inverter. The voltage output is about 260V raw from the motor though, so be careful when you use one of those 😮
shorten the chain or put tensioner on it. i'd add kind of flywheel to the crank too (simple 1/2 to 3/4" steel plate will do) to ease the prolonged charging. Also, longer handle will help tremendously in charging (as will bigger sprocket if you can get one).
Hi Boss , I am interested in a small hand crank generator that can charge my motobike battery for my self starter. At times I have to kick start my motorcycle especially while I am on travelling for work, coming home the battery voltage is below level for the self starter to start. . Any possibility of making one for me.
Great build👍, I was thinking about making a hand crank dynamo from 110 amp car alternator, do you think that would work or would it have too much resistance for to be practical?
You are not going to get many watts out of this ! That is a great point And a point many people do not seem to understand Power in and then Power out Then whatever loss How many watts can a human produce on average ? Likely less than the average person thinks
Thanks, helps people understand this better when it comes to human power. Check out toaster challenge videos, it takes a lot of energy just to toast one peace of bread.
