Kyle is there a formula you use to make the dripper to shot size? Or do you just use the shot diameter and drill a hole that size or close to it with a numbered drill set?
I buy my drippers on Ebay, you can buy them with different size holes to match the shot size your are trying to make. Hope that helps and thanks for watching
WOW,, SWEET VIDEO ,,NICE AND CLEAN ROOUND LOOKING SHOT AS WELL, 2 THUMBS UP BUDDY.. WHAT SADDENS ME IS THAT , AFTER SEEING THE VID YOU MADE HAD OVER 6000 PLUS VEIWS, AND ONLY 15 LIKES, SAD DAY WHEN YOU SEE PEEPS NOT HELPING OUT ON THE LIKES "DEPARTMENT"",, BUT ANY WAYS GOOD LUCK ,, SEEMS I GOTTA MAKE ONE NOW, AS I TRAP IN WINTER MONTHS AND HAVE ABOUT 500 POUNDS A LEAD SITTING IN THE SHED,, LOL. hi can you tell the best temperature for lead in that operation and if possible how to clean dripper and shot maker after finishing cause when you lead level goes under the dripper a small amount will solidify in the dripper and a small amount will solidify in the pot . plz can you clearify this point for me ? thx
Elias Dagher i dont know what the exact temperature is but i know it is just above melting point. Also, i do not run my lead level below the drippers as this would cause any dirt that is on top of the lead to enter the drippers. i just turn off the burner and allow the lead to cool leaving a few pounds in the ladle. On occasion i remove the drippers and clean them by heating with a propane torch and blowing them out with air pressure.

No I do not add any additional heat to the ramp. I use graphite from an aerosol can to coat the ramp before starting. If I still get some that stick I just wipe that spot with hi-temp axel geease
I made a pot to make lead shots. and I have based on several forums that I follow on the internet. but the shot keeps coming out of round. I do not know what to do I attached the images and a video that I posted on RU-vid. who can help me find the reason for my problem. Thank you
Try using a thicker coolant. Viscosity impacts rate of heat dispersion, so the shot (in thicker) moves from a droplet to solid sphere faster and more evenly. I think...
