Homemade perfect table saw - Final 

I have been looking for such a good project for my Metabo TKHS 315 C for a long time in order to attach a lateral sliding carriage. Thank you for your presentation.

I just love 💕 it. I really want to build a sliding table for my saw. At first I didn't understand why you went with the vertical configuration with the bearings and rails but I get it now. Cool saw and video! It really helped me out. Although mine will be made of metal, I'm going to do something similar. I'm going to add a sliding extension to my table saw and was going to run the linear rails next to each other on a horizontal plane, but then I'd have to worry about getting them both exactly square with the table and blade. The way you did it, with the rails spaced apart vertically, takes all that worry out of it. Also, it makes adjusting the height of the slider to match the height of the table saw table much easier as well.

Very great project, but I can tell you highly recommend a Riving knife to the saw blade to Install.

I love it!!! I've been watching all these saw videos I can find to copy one, and I really think this is the best one so far!!! I might modify it to fit a handheld planer. I like the slide, and it MUST be pretty rugged. I thought you were going to wear it out, but it held up!!! LOL Thank you for sharing your great idea!!!

Thats a very neat design... I like the idea, of using linear rails for the sliding table.. I also built a sliding table saw, some month ago.. (videos on my channel) ..anyway..well done my friend... Greets from germany..

Interesting project. I see a lot of projects that use linear bearings...they are VERY expensive here and I have yet to see a project that justifies the expense...good luck with your project!

Great job, but you need to put an antikick-back mechanism, and a blade guard too, to prevent accidents.

3/5 stars safety issues mostly. grinder guard, and use a push block when guiding long pieces of wood through circular saw blade. and riving knife. other than these few safety concerns, this sliding panel saw like will surely be of help on your future projects.

Did you guys notice the test cut was not perfectly sitting flat with table, 2 things, one it causes tear out underneath and 2 small out of square angle since the board tilts, otherwise good project.

Great job, thumbs up. The vertical alignment of the rail plattform (sliding table) seems to be better than a horizontal one. È un progetto che ho in mente da parecchio tempo. Però ho sempre avuto dubbi sulla tenuta dei cuscinetti. A distanza di tempo come si comportano i cuscinetti con la segatura? Sono ancora precisi?

If that is on a hingde you should have gapped the platform for the sled and swing the the slide level to the table and come up with an attachment and ya got yourself a tennon slide jid

I had to turn the sound off, the provided background melodies was like listening to nails on a black board. Good design, I could make a few improvements to it though. This would take up too much space in my garage, so if a couple of quick release brackets added would make it easy to pull off and hang on the wall when not in use.
