In this video I decided to try to make these homemade pumpkin doggy treats. The doggies loved them so give them a try for your fur babies!!!
Ingredients
1/2 cup pumpkin purée
1/4 cup applesauce
3 tbs peanut butter
1 egg
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
Instructions
1) prepare a sheet pan by lining it with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350 degrees
2) using a stand or hand mixer, beat together the pumpkin purée, applesauce, peanut butter and egg
3) mix in the whole wheat flour, salt, and baking soda. Beat until just combined and then roll out dough on a floured surface. Knees the dough together if it hasn’t come together all the way. (Tip: freeze the dough for 30 minutes if you are going to use cookie cutters)
4) cut the cookies using a bone shaped cookie cutter and evenly spread them out on the prepared sheet pan
5) bake in the oven for 15-25 minutes, until reached your desired level of hardness.
(Tip in molds I baked at 325 10 to 15 minutes)
6) let the treats cool completely before serving to your favorite four legged friend
