colinfurze this is the entire reason I first came to your channel. Hoping that one day you would be crazy enough to build a tank. I am very exited to see the next step.
Colin furze- has a bunker, real weapons, handheld grappling hooks , flamethrowers and now a tank. This man will be one of the only people to survive a zombie apocalypse without a scratch.
I love how Colin is just chillin on the side of RU-vid, doing his own thing, amazing content, extremely talented, and videos that never disappoint. Awesome
@James Smith Yeah! what an absolute disgrace, Colin should just make videos for us to watch for free he doesn't need to provide for his family. See how silly that sounds?
@@colinfurze Colin ,the spiral on that thing needs to have taper ending ,not square like a wood screw tip ,also cone, and taper spiral at both ends if you want to go in reverse.
@@boredom1000 Would that phrase be considered a concept or the expression of it though? I have no idea how to look it up to see if there's a copyright or not.
@@whoopsydaisy6389 Google "circular right cylinder". Then "square" is interchangeable with "right", he's using it to refer to the angle of the up/down dimension compared to base plane. It does seem a little silly because just "square cylinder" would get you a shape like square tube pipe. It's down to the context
*BOOM* neighbor wife: "What was that, dear?" neighbor husband: "Probably just Colin, next door, making another RU-vid video. Must have his safety tie on - he didn't even break any of our windows, this time. Don't worry, love, he'll be bored with his new toy in a couple of days, and all will be back to normal again." neighbor wife: "Yes, dear … until the next time some foolish git posts a comment starting with, 'It would be really cool if Colin could make a ...' . "
This type of "thread" is used for slums, mud, ice and water ... he just needs 2 boats as a body and on the top he cam have a spud launcher as primary with detachable bottom for reload and an airsoft machinegun on top and he has a tank.
The Russians had a drive like this in the 50s, which they swiped from a Fordson tractor special equipment package from 100 years ago. Never understood why more weren’t made.
6:15 “what else can you use that for?!” No one say missiles. He’s got enough weaponry already and is now building a tank. He’s dangerous enough as it is😂😂
You know what just blew my fkn' mind ? The fact that he thought about the lenght of the tube to be his arm lenght so that he can screw them together. Frickin genius
This is not a shagohod (walker), this is a Shneckohod (screw crawler). For a person who does not speak Russian, the difference in spelling is probably minimal. However, the meaning becomes completely different.
@@jacksonmiller9331 Maybe. I refer to a real-life and mass-produced machine;) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RNqQTQemN40.html And the name of tank in the MGS was clearly inventing the same "non-Russian-speaking" author)
You forgot a comma. "We'll have a perfectly round, square...". Meaning, in cross section it will be cylindrical. Longitudinally, the walls will be perpendicular to the base [alternatively: the walls will be parallel to the axis of rotation].
Collin: talking to sponsor. "So does it need to be able to fire anything?" Sponser: ".Lol, what. No it doesn't need to fire anything, just have fun with it." Collin: "okay i got you... Doesn't need to fire anything just needs to fire things" *wink* Sponsor: "What?!" A while.later. A well dress British man sets entire world on fire with a self made tank and no one can stop him!
OMG! This is a little scary. Is there an engineering problem in the world that Colin Furze cannot solve? 🔨🔧🔩🗜️ If the earth's axis begins to creak, then I know who needs to be called first 😉
Educational as always. That radius jig is nice and simple. I'll have to remember that when I'm building my own turbojet cart. One thing I did learn while making steel and aluminum cylinders, though, is if you brake the edge just a bit it'll roll right out to the edge without the flat tail, so less material waste.
I'm always expecting to see Colin's face pop up on "Nightmare neighbors, slum landlords" lol. Imagine waking up in the morning every day scared to look out of your bedroom window....OMG, what the fcuk is he doing now??!? Lol
I would love to see an episode of The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door featuring his neighbours lol. Not sure if the show is still going, but with my luck it would be the one not on youtube, and I can't watch Channel 5 in the US without using a VPN.
So you saying he is a nightmare neighbor? I disagree, seems he be a role model for kids. Plus always in open area for the load fun vids. I love to wake up and get out to see what new and exciting projects he up to
@@caseyross6534 Are you American by any chance?! It was a joke mate. Everyone else seemed to get it, and it doesn't really work if you have to explain it. Lol
Any good home shop machinist worth his salt knows what that phrase means. In some circles, it makes perfect sense. (All possible puns definitely intended.)
Tip for rolling cones. Weld 2 bits of angle together to make a T. Jab it into the rollers e.g. on the far left. (Point of the angle into the roller) if you put your blank in lead edge parallel to the rollers, small do a end pushed up to your angle. As you roll it drags the my edge around the end of the angle and maintains the "guide line". Probably something you already know but I liked it when a sheety showed me :)
@@girlsdrinkfeck um, i'm 46 years old, a qualified boiler maker, a coded welder and i threw in a fitting and turning apprenticeship when i was a pip - at my fathers engineering firm - my father was a great journeyman to me, taught me just about everything i know regarding metal work, any how i digress, but um, i think you get that i was joking... and its square in 3 dimentions to me, it just sounded great, that's all - i think shneaky Colin said it on purpose...
I like how his mate is helping so it was just like "Hey mate, I'm going to build a tank" Puts down magazine "Well I guess you'll need some help with that"
Colin when rolling cones use a piece of angle upside down in the roller to hold the sheet at the same spot. Saves alot of stuffing around. 40 x 40 should do it
Colin, not sure if its been mentioned, but if you put a bit of angle up against the two rollers, and wire tie it around the three rollers to hold the angle in there, you can run the throat of the cone (conical) up against the angle and this will guide the throat at the right speed in relation to the outer edge of the cone. Hope that makes sense. :)
