I think you have the best design over all the stump buckets both homemade and commercial. You did what I'm going to do in my build. You kept the bucket narrow, you kept the sides straight and not angled sideways from front to back and kept the sides straight up and down and not angled at 45° or so. Having the sides angled just make the resistance worse when trying to push the bucket into the ground. One thing I'm doing different is no teeth on the front. Just keeping it flat and slightly sharpening the edge. I believe this will cut the vertical roots ( if any ) better. I also think I will make the cutting teeth on the sides alternate directions so it can cut in either direction. This is the direction I was going before I even saw your video but your video was good to see. One more thing, I'm making mine out of 3/8" steel plate. Great minds think alike. LOL 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Thank you so much! The build has held up great. It’s perfect for small trees! The teeth are perfect for coming up to the tree and pushing it over first. If the tree is whole it makes it so much easier to uproot it. The cutting teeth on the side do the job nicely. I like your idea about making them cut in both directions. I will give that some thought on my next build. Thanks!
@@fixinandfishin8580 . Have u had any problems with you 3 point raising and lowering it. Mines all messed up. U pull and when the handle it almost all the qay back it finally goes up.
I think his welds have proven themselves. Mine are not pretty and I have broken one yet. My dad always told me when I welded, carry a grinder and thick paint!
