INGREDIENTS
2 egg yolks (room temperature eggs, washed and scalded)
approx. 1 cup of sunflower or rapeseed oil
1 tablespoon of lemon juice or wine vinegar
1 teaspoon of mustard
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
a pinch of pepper and turmeric
EXECUTION:
1.Put the yolks into a tall bowl and add all the ingredients except the oil.
2.Add a little oil (approx. 1-2 tablespoons). Place the giraffe blender into the vessel so that it touches the bottom of the vessel.
3.Turn on the blender at low speed and start mixing the ingredients without removing the blender from the bottom. When you see the consistency change (mayonnaise begins to form), start adding the oil in small portions, mixing all the time.
4.Slowly remove the blender from the bottom of the container and increase the speed, mixing in an up-down motion. The more oil, the thicker the mayonnaise becomes.
5. Ready mayonnaise stores in the refrigerator for approximately 7-10 days.
