Duke, I just had to tune in to see how you disposed of the wasps. I'm not as resourceful or frugal as you, so I just spray commercial wasp spray at them. I wait for twilight to do it though when I know they're all in their nest. But you did great!! You didn't get stung!

New slogan: Dawn takes wasp and grease out of your way! I’m learning more about the benefits of Dawn Mr. D. This stuff can put a hurting on wasp, clean dishes and get oil off of wildlife 😍 I recently had a bunch of Army worms sucking down my tomatoes and bell peppers and was recommended that I spray a dawn and water solution on the plants. The next day they where gone and I haven’t seen any since. Thanks for posting! 3:15 reminds me of my young military days. That’s how we would stagger to our rooms after a night of partying.
I started doing that using Dawn on wasps, but I use hot water from the tap. It works good on ants too. They drop like flies, that Dawn is good stuff for killing wasps and nests. We get these carpenter ants every year in June and July, Dawn takes ants and wasps out of your way! Be well Duke, good stuff!

Yep, that was a big one. Looks like you took care of them though. Sometimes you don't know they're there till one of them nails you. I sure got stung by them a lot when I was a kid, but I was always doing something stupid, lol.
Man I have had wasps on my 83 el Camino for awhile. (Needs a new carb) but damn it has 3 nests and they are the meanest nests i have ever seen. Cant even pop the hood without getting stung 5-6 times. But I’ll give this a shot
My uncle used to use a fire extinguisher on them, especially the big cone nests. It would just rip the cone apart n cover the wasps. They didn't have a chance. Safest way I ever saw.
WD40 will knock em too. Quick. When you're under an old vehicle that might the only weapon you have except maybe your 9mm, but that's a little bit over kill. HA
Dawn isn't harmful to us like it is bees, the way I understand how it works is that the dawn soap attacks the waxy exoskeleton of the bee much the same way that it breaks grease down which in turn allows the water to penetrate into the bee and this makes it drown to death
