Homemade white Bread
Ingredients:
1 C. Water
2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
1/3 C. Sugar
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
3 C. Flour
3/4 tsp Salt
Instructions:
Pour water into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 40 seconds or until temp is between 105-115 degrees F. When your water is at the right temperature and 1 tsp of your sugar to the water,stir. Then add the yeast to the water and let sit for 5-10 minutes to activate the yeast.
Pour the yeast mixture into your mixing bowl, using a dough hook. Add oil and the rest of the sugar to the mixture, mix for 1-2 minutes until combined. Next add salt and slowly add the flour, keep about 1/4 cup of the flour for kneading. Mix until the dough pulls away from the outside of the bowl. Dough will be a bit sticky put some flour on your counter top and knead the bread for a minute, then spray or put just a little oil in the bottom of your bowl and place dough in the bowl and spray the top of the dough with a tiny bit of oil, cover and let rise until it has doubled in size 1-2 hours.
Once the dough has doubled in size place dough back on counter top and knead the dough and shape into a loaf. Place dough in loaf pan, cover and let it rise again for another 1-2 hours, once the dough has risen to the top of the loaf pan bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
