I’m sure this regularion was put in place so the lawmakers and politicians really make out like bandits for a very hidden reason unbeknownst to the rest of us. 70 off annually for me is a whopping $5.83 off my monthly mortgage payment. What a slap on my bare ass!
I believe the $7000 homeowners tax credit is applied automatically. Because homesteading exemption has an automatic feature. So I’m not sure why you would make a video about this.? The actual advantage of filing your own written homeowners exemption is to give you a greater protection against creditors
Thanks for your comment but since the homeowners tax credit only applies to primary residence, once home is purchased, individuals need to complete a Homeowners' Property Tax Exemption Claim Form (BOE-266/ASSR-515) in order to received the credit. Check out the county assessor's website or board of equalization for more info.
