Notice how the title companies do not for fill their obligations... Years later, when they are about loose in court, only then will they pay their obligations. The state attorney general needs to suspend their business licences and sue them for millions, but he/she won't because they are controlled by these corporations and not We the people.

Make the land surveyors pay all the associated cost. They must be covered under some type of insurance policy. The licensing board should take a hard look at their license. When you think about it, it took place in Florida so you know. 😉😉

The obvious answer is to figure out where the homes were supposed to be built and come up with a way to swap land titles so new homes can be built across the street. Of course the people who screwed up should be on the hook for any expenses involved.

Actually the houses look fairly basic and shouldn't be hard to move if needed. Also aren't, most homes in Florida built on slabs?

@@kurtvonfricken6829 ... gotta think beyond the cost of the home structure itself. You've got utilities and plumbing... and some of then are within the slab. You've also got site work, driveway, and landscaping, just to name the obvious. Then there's the actual move of the building, which will be in the tens of thousands just to cross the street. How about the legal footwork? That can easily be ten grand. How about a new survey and site prep... new slab, new utilities, etc? How about the time renting while all this takes place? That simple "move the house" could be a hundred grand.... because of someone else's screw up.

This report said the lots they legally own already have homes built on them. Eventually, the title companies insurance companies are on the hook for preparing deeds incorrectly, certification, and filing with the County. In all likelihood the Title Company's will end up buying the properties and reselling back to current owners but it'll cost them dearly.

simple...swap the names on the titles...they obviously don't want to move..OR move to the properties they actually bought, just all do a house swap...this is stupid...

That's why people have title insurance.

um, assuming the houses can safely stay there, just quit claim properties to each other, compensating for any variations in LAND value if anyone...that fight with the people responsible for compensation.

the actual landowners seem rather greedy to the fact that they want to capitalize off a mistake that these people have wound up owning. if they ultimately are evicted, i would hire a tractor to demolish the houses. i thought this was why title insurance existed.

That is what title insurance for. The American Dream. Professional that are now being proven to be human,or amateur. Not a simple matter, not a simple solution, seems more common than it should be. Almost funny. Isn’t this why government issues licenses for professional to not make these mistakes

Funny but in quebec canada, you need a survey for the bank loan when you buy a house.Should do the same thing in usa, there would be no more problems with the crooks you have a lot in your country.

You didn’t listen to the video? Less than a minute into the video, the reporter stated that the surveyors along with the builders and county officials missed the mistake. They are rightfully suing the surveying company and others.
