I am glad your back! I love watching your videos, especially the book hauls/reviews. I also love children’s literature and have gotten many ideas from your videos. We just read The Pilgrims Progress by Rousseaux Brasseur. I highly recommend it. It has beautiful illustrations and is written in poetic form. My son is ten and also loved it. Thank you for doing all these videos! ❤
It really is so beautifully done! Can’t wait to read it with my girls! Keira is actually reading it independently right now. One of her assigned reads for her world history/literature class in the fall is The Pilgrim’s Progress, and I thought this would be a fun little bridge to that.
We need that National Parks book! We love visiting national parks! If you are planning a trip, and you have a 4th grader, make sure you check out the Every Kid Outdoor program. It is a pass for 4th graders AND their families to get into national parks for free for the year.
My daughter was watching this video with me while I was cooking in the kitchen and she said, “Mommy this lady is so pretty! She looks like Mirabel from Encanto!” 🥰 I love the book haul and wanted to let you know what my sweet seven-year-old said about you 🤗
Last year we read several very sweet books that my daughter just loved. The Year of Miss Agnes and Adventures With Waffles were two favorites. Also, Red Sails to Capri was a good one.
Just want to let you know how much I enjoy your channel. I think it's your upbeat personality. I've been homeschooling my children for 24 years and I remember I met a lot of people in the early years who acted like it was a big chore. Sure everyday isn't sunshine and rainbows, but for me they mostly were. I got to spend every day with the people I loved most. So when I find a mom who seems to understand how lucky we are it makes me so happy.😃
Question how do you find out about the buy 2 get 1 free on Amazon? I always find out by just randomly being on Amazon looking at books (which I do often). I’m like you though, I don’t want a cheap book for free! So I maximize on it and get similarly priced books to get the biggest bang for my buck. Is there really any other way to do it? 😂
Randomly, as well. 😂 I try to keep my spidey senses out though, haha. I know they usually do one over the summer as I’m prepping for the school year, so I check weekly. I also have a wishlist on Amazon that I monitor regularly to see if prices have dropped or if there is some type of sale. Right now, there’s $5 off select $20 book purchases.
@@TheHomeschoolConvert spidey senses 😂 lol I love that. I’ll keep checking weekly also. I do the same with the wish list! And the wish list makes it easier when they do the buy 2 get 1 free. You just go through the list and see what qualifies for the sale! Here’s to hoping they do one soon 🤞.
Wait, is there another curriculum choice video coming?? Sounds like it!! 🎉😁 Yay, can't wait to see how you incorporate using all these lovely books!! ♥️
Yes! I love a good book haul. I can't wait to see what curriculum you are using for all these incredible African American books. I am so curious now (and might need another curriculum hahaha)
I wish you lived in the south, there is a book store that has classic books for 50 cents or even as cheap as a nickel. Needless to say we love going there and reading lots of books 😂 thanks for the book haul, I’ll be checking some of them out!
You are amazing ! Just followed you on Instagram, I’m Haley and have a first grader and preschooler. Just want you to know I’ve benefited greatly from all of the enthusiasm, encouragement & wisdom you pour into these videos . You inspire me so much and thank you for being to the point ! I look forward to watching your little schoolhouse continue to blossom 🤍
