I am a homeschool mom with 5 kiddos. This is my first year and with my oldest. I'm struggling find a balance between homeschool, meals and house chores. My youngest is 7 months and she just wants to be with mom and I'm struggling on keeping my kids entertained while my oldest does school. I think I will try to incorporate the younger and able kids to do some learning activities in the morning. I don't know. My mission is to get the schedule down. Getting Laundry done seems to be so challenging too. But I will keep pushing. Bravo to all the homeschool moms out there doing their best!
I’m just starting to homeschool my 8 yr old grandson. I have some workbooks but I’m not even sure how to plan the day. Feeling a little lost and overwhelmed. Any tips?
I can’t wait to homeschool my babies in the future! My first child is due January 6th and by the grace of God I can only pray he blesses me with several more babies
“ I wake up at 4:30 in the morning because exploding the children takes a lot of prep work to make them think they arent being exploited so come and spend the day with me and watch as I do menial task and document every area of my life!!”
Would love to know where you get your workbooks, supplies etc for homeschooling. Im new to it this year and trying to find good ones. I love your set up also!!
Man I wish I was that organized. I wake up 1 hour before the big kids and spend the next hour changing diapers and yelling " I don't know were your book is, were did you put it?"
I’m curious to know if having the camera on keeps you out of the moment with your kids? Does looking at them through a screen rather than right in front of you sustain a good connection? Is it hard to keep focused on what you’re doing if you’re constantly worrying about filming and angles and lighting? I’d love to hear about that type of stuff from a mommy vlogger! How does constantly filming affect your relationship with your kids for good or for bad?
I wish i had as much stuff as you do for homeschooling. I'm about to be doing 2nd grade for my only baby. What manipulatives and workbooks do you recommended for 2nd-3rd?
Thank you for showing us a snapshot of your life! This is amazing and beautiful! However, I just want others to know that while this is what works for this family, others may look a bit different. Here is my day as a second generation homeschooler with five kids (11th grade down to 2nd, no multiples 😊): 7:30 - kids allowed to leave bedrooms 8 - mom begrudgingly rolls out of bed 9 - time to wake up the teens! Always a joy😂 9:30 - finish up breakfast and morning chores 10 - start school (we do Bible and some subjects as a family first) 11 - wrap up together school. Some kids do more school at this point, others start lunch. 1-5:30 - finish up lunch; do school and afternoon chores and then sweet freedom until dinner prep starts; dinner is prepared by either mom or an older child 8 - bedtime starts for younger kids; one teen does most of his school at this time of the day, because he likes to and he can 10 - lights out for teens and our day ends. And there you have it! Another homeschooling perspective. Homeschooling is such a blessing, whether you homeschool using the computer, a boxed curriculum, an eclectic approach, or any other method.
i honestly wished my parents homeschooled me, for context, in my childhood years, a lot of unfortunate things started happening and it was a constant struggle to socialize as my brain was extremely riddled with trauma and fear. so maybe homeschooling would have been a better option though i doubt either of my parents had time
This is just one example of a homeschooling household! Each family needs to find their own rhythm and what works for them. I am not at all organized, I don't follow an open and go curriculum, and love to follow rabbit trails. We don't have any desks, have no manipulatives, and I most definitely do NOT get up at 4:30 😂 And you know what? It still works, because we are doing it the way that works for us.
Its really weird being european and thinking about this. Because unless you are a real teacher how do you know you are properly teaching? I mean, schools here are mandatory and they are good. Whats wrong with schools there?
Glad to see actual homeschooling!! We get so many kids returning to public school after a few years of "homeschooling" not even knowing how to read or even knowing how to hold a pencil or write at all. It's really sad.
Noise canceling headphones would have been a dreeeeam for me when I was a kid. I had adhd and the smallest of sounds made schoolwork so much more challenging to get through. And I was homeschooled. When I went to public school, that was a nightmare bc I got labeled spacey and air headed bc I couldn’t focus on anything with all the pencil tapping and coughing and kids getting up and down from their desks. Phewwww. Yeah, this is great 😅
Because each family is different with different schedules. My kids all focus better in the morning. Also I need time to work from home in the afternoon and then toms of extracurriculars for all the kids.
This is another reason why homeschooling is great! You get to teach your kids truly useful life tools and you get to spend time with them while they learn.
*For everyone who has ears to hear, eyes to read, may you receive this message and let it affect your hearts (as Jesus spoke when he was here) - "Blessed is he, that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord His God," (Psalm 146:5). "Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirsts, let him come unto me, and drink," (John 7:37). "These things have I spoken unto you, so that in me you may have peace: in the world you shall have affliction, but be of good comfort, for I have overcome the world," (John 16:33).* *May you turn to Him and abide in Him, for He will abide in you! 🙏 God bless you!*
How much does it cost for home schooling in Texas? Will it help Cost cutting ? But quality of education how it’s? Can I do detailed video about this ? Plz
Why? Just because she has the opportunity and choice to homeschool? Your statement implies if you don't homeschool then you're not a good mum. Homeschooling is a choice not a virtue.
I just started homeschooling and I feel my kids are more social than other kids their age, just think how many people at the school are shushing the kids. I bring my kids to parks, playgrounds, church groups, free art and craft clubs, libraries, homeschool STEM programs, community events, and my kids have been asking to sign up to volunteer to feed the homeless this holiday season. There’s so many options on how to socialize out side of a school building. Many parents also choose to enroll their children in dance, sports, or martial arts classes.
@@bethy1990leo I mean its amazing that you do that for your children. I know alot of people who homeschool their kids and don't actually take them places, sign them up for groups etc. It's so important that children can make friends and find their own little people. Homeschooling is definitely amazing if you do it right. Personally I don't think I could but there are some amazing school in my country which is great.
Girl you need to get paid for this I know you do it out of love but you are doing such a service not many people could be so dedicated and have so much energy, I'm not Christian but I am in absolute awe of you and what you do for your beautiful family, make sure to pat yourself on the back every day, your god is proud of you too 🌹 make sure to take time for yourself too, absolutely incredible person
I have another tip! If you’re kiddos are very energetic, have them do there vocab out loud while walking around it helps with memory as well! Just something that I learned it helped me through med school learning all the vocab and medications! I have adhd, so it really helps me retain what I learn doing it that way
I'm confused, we woke up at seven o'clock, had breakfast, went to school and had no need for ear protection. All six kids in our family are well educated, employed, caring, and willing to include all people in our lives.
I hope that I can homeschool my kids for the first half of their lives. For me, I would probably move them to regular school in middle or high school, though, since i feel like they would learn better for things I am not as good at.
there are home school programs where your child can watch DVDs or participate with actual teachers (like the children were doing during COVID restrictions) and by the time your children are older -- who knows what the technology will be!
Where do you get some of the tools on the cart? I am thinking of homeschooling our 2 boys when they become of age and need to get some good ideas thank you.
It's amazing to see different ways to homeschool. I'm a very laid back relaxed homeschool mom. I did it this way and it was way too stressful and the kids were feeling the same I wanted them to find their passion and I wanted to connect with them and them with me. And one another. And nature. We live on a farm and I find so much peace in our day and we are learning more than I ever thought. With peace. And rest
I love to see a mom that’s actually home schooling. I work at an elementary school and can’t tell you how many kiddos get signed out to be “homeschooled “ and the parents don’t do a thing! You’re raising the next generation let’s set them up for success God Bless Your Family
How would you even know that they don't do a thing? I'm thinking you just assume they don't. Homeschooling is ten times better than any public or private school in this day and age.
@@schwubs Hahahahahaha. You're actually disturbed if you think that. The safety and care parents can provide when teaching their children can never be replaced by a teacher. Even when I went to school, my parents homeschooled me about the importance of critical thinking and instructed me regarding religious and moral teaching... Banning homeschooling is actually impossible. And it's something Nazis advocated for - they then could control the youth entirely. I'm sorry you think parents are unable to care for their children. You must lead a very cynical life. And don't fight me by saying people can abuse their children more when homeschooling because abuse happens in many homes regardless of school choice.
Good job, Mama!! I've been homeschooling my son and daughter..I have small 2 more children and soon gonna be part of this crazy chaos education at home lol
