Good morning, Mamas! ☕️ Thank you so much for joining me this morning! ❤ Please be sure to check out Yasmine's channel as well as the playlist when you're finished here!
Do you put a time limit on your kids on how long they have per subject? That way you can stick to a "lunch at 12" and everyone is done and ready by then? That way everyone can also move onto their post lunch lessons
Our morning basket is almost identical! Haha we do Bible and devotion, we use one through our church. Then sing a Song of Seasons. My kids do TGTB handwriting through those. We have some Evan Moor workbooks thrown in there some days, including spelling for my 1st grader. Fix it Grammar. We also add art, I found a fun easy one on TPT for art history. And we end with our read aloud! I’ve really been wanting to check out Not Consumed. I need to check that one out! Thanks for sharing!
I have the Not Consumed missionary book. We did a devotional from there this summer. I just finished a Christian Heroes book and will be starting another one soon. I'm also using those handwriting books. I just don't have a "morning basket" because I work mornings. We finish with read a louds.
Love seeing your resources, Christie! I always get good ideas from you each year, lol! The FInance Literacy looks awesome! I'll definitely have to check that out. Your morning time style seems similar to ours. I rotate through everything and pick kind of what we are feeling like doing that day. :) Thanks for sharing! You're doing great, mama!
I was looking at that same curriculum for spelling. I like the way you do it. I think I'll grab it soon. We use TGTB for language and we love it but I want more for spelling.
We love, not consumed ministries. I’ve been eyeballing that curriculum to every nations for a while. Ever since I started homeschooling I’ve also been wanting to do all the Christian heroes with all of my kids.
We don't have a dedicated social studies curriculum! We draw mostly from our language arts curriculum (The Good and the Beautiful), along with our history (Notgrass)! 😊
How do you know what level Fix It Grammar to pick or does it start off easy and get harder? I have older elementary kids but their reading levels are varying.
