My oldest is your youngest! It struck me watching her how little 5th grade still is! I forget that sometimes since my 5th grader is my oldest. Good reminder.

This is so helpful to see a homeschooling lesson in action. I hope you do more! It's so hard to figure out what curriculum is the best fit for your family. This is our first year homeschooling, so getting a snapshot of how someone else uses a curriculum is awesome. We are doing a different curriculum this school year, but I already know I want to change it next year. Thank you so much for this!

If you are struggling and want to switch the good and the beautiful has the curriculum as a free download you can print off. I know it’s hard to waste money by not finishing stuff you already have but if it’s a real struggle to do it and you think it’s more then still finding your grove, switch.

ok, you are making me want to try the language arts for my younger kids. We do the math, and many other things, but have only used the LA for my oldest, but it really does look amazing!

So thank you so much for making this video and explaining the fact that we don’t need those other books it is so confusing at times as we use Abeka and there’s a book for vocabulary there’s a book for grammar there’s readings it’s just a lot to follow and this sounds like we would definitely love to try it my daughter is in the fifth grade as well. Thank you so kindly for sharing this and for doing this video it was extremely helpful to me. Quick question my older daughter is doing eighth grade currently I know that good and the beautiful only goes up to eighth grade what do you use for your hot homeschoolers who are in high school? Thank you

She’s so cute. Thanks for sharing. Q: I have 2 high schoolers. But, for some reason I’m struggling to balance work with them and managing my 4th grader. How do you transition from Morning Basket into working with your older kids? We’re trying to fit in Intro to Logic, but the timing is tough to figure out.

Thanks for sharing this! I was looking into using the Good and the Beautiful LA for my fourth grade son and my seventh grade daughter but was confused as to why they included so much into the LA curriculum (geography, art, etc). I mean, I love those subjects but I don't understand putting them into a specific LA curriculum.

Do you feel like your older children developed their writing skills with just TGTB? We have been using it for my kids for 2 years and my oldest is in level 3. I want to trust the process but sometimes feel that he is very apprehensive to write even the smaller writing assignments he’s given in level 3. I want to trust the process if it’s there but also don’t want to sell him short If I could get extra help earlier.
