As a British family living on a remote island in the Philippines, here's what we've learned in the last 7 years about homeschooling your child abroad.
Our daughter Story was made in Thailand, born in Portugal and raised in the Philippines. She's our first and only child and we are so proud of learning about the world.

🍁💞💞💞🍁We hope you enroll Miss Story even just in a public school there in Siargao so she can have acquaintances and friends also in school.Naturally Miss Story will be able to speak Tagalog language if she will be indulging with the kids there.That way she be able to have more friends and more playmates...Let her socialise with the other kids there in school and neighbors🍁💞💞💞🍁

Hey guys, thank you for this video and for all the content you guys produce my wife and I we have two children 1H10 1H 13. My son is 24 years old I homeschooled him .he is an extrovert he will talk to anyone.he speaks 3 languages..he never liked school ..my daughter loves school but she is not as good with communication like my son is …every child is different..story is very intelligent..you guys are doing what works for your family and that’s awesome…❤your channel

Tofu is really yummy, maybe you can try adobong sitaw (longstringbeans) with fried tofu on top or adobong kangkong (water spinach) you can add a little bit of coconut cream/ milk as wel if you wantl, it so delicious and it's all vegan❤ always love your vlog, since your day 1 in the Philippines, it inspire us and it help us to feel less homesick😅 greetings from Norway.

There's nothing wrong with learning other languages like Japanese but since you are in the Philippines, it would make sense for Story to learn Tagalog as she can even practice it talking with the local kids/adults.

I don’t think this family is interesting in learning Tagalog . As much as they like their life style there and already years they are living there they don’t speak the language . I understand it’s Not my business but just wondering maybe it’s because the country is English speaking.

I agree. Strange that Story is learning Japanese as a language yet never tried to learn Tagalog. Not buying the excuse of so many dialects and do not know which one to learn as J mentioned before.

I guess British doesn't want to learn inferior languages, among all the British vloggers in the Philippines, only Anselm or Kumander Daut decided to speak the local language...maybe because he married a Filipino woman....George and Lucy never exerted any effort at all...why learn a language you will; never benefit from considering the fact that Filipinos are speaking English, they found it useless to learn.....Philippines is the country you pay less for things so expensive in your own country, like England.....but learning Filipino language is only good for missionaries not vloggers....if you are selling something, then you need to learn the language. Don't you think vloggers would be wasting their time learning Filipino language or dialect when both parties can understand English?...Don't get me wrong, I just express mu opinion, I like 8 Miles..

Since you are in the Philippines, try to teach or learn the TAGALOG or Filipino subjects to teach Storey and you guys to be able to be mingle with other Filipinos...
